Rehearsals in Vancouver, 24 April 2015

We have more news from Vancouver via U2FanPeter on Interference, the source for news a couple of days ago. He made a lengthy post on Interference, which is summarised below.

At today's rehearsals, U2 rehearsed multiple takes of Pride. A couple of takes included a snippet of a Beatles song, All You Need Is Love, which has traditionally appeared as a brief snippet in Where the Streets Have No Name. Pride has rarely featured snippets in the past, though as it happens it contained a snippet of All You Need Is Love on 26 November 1987.

Other songs confirmed to have been rehearsed are Elevation and Invisible.

One very interesting tidbit of news is that a small string section comprising four to six people has been seen leaving the Pacific Coliseum. Fans listening to the rehearsals have only heard them playing on one or two songs, but this lends weight to the rumour that a string section will accompany the band for the whole tour. Many of you will recall that a number of U2's promo performances last year featured a string section.

Also, U2 will relocate from the Pacific Coliseum to the Rogers Arena after Neil Diamond's gig on 7 May. The first concert of the tour is at the Rogers Arena on 14 May.
