Performance:
So inconsistent, it's sad. The highs are oh-so-high, but there are so many scattered lows, I don't really know what to do with this rating.
"Until the End of the World" has a stellar intro and hook, and then Bono tops it off by not coming in at the right time on the first verse. Kills the vibe. Edge screws up the beginning of "Sunday Bloody Sunday", and "I Will Follow" is painstakingly slow. "Running to Stand Still" finally picks the show back up again with it's mysterious rendition, and everything goes fairly fine from there.
Audience:
Extremely difficult to hear.
Sound:
Not terrible, especially for a Zoo show, but I still wouldn't jump to anything over a 3.5 here.
Overall:
Perfectly standard, which I know happens, but I was hoping this show- dubbed "Bono's Birthday Party", would be much more of a....well...party. I don't hear anything in this performance that stands out, or shouts "celebration" like some other shows from the tour, and they weren't necessarily celebrating anything else but music those nights.
Highlights:
-All things above aside- the encore brings down the house. Amazing performances.
-Edge singing "Party Girl", though he clearly admits "I don't remember the solo", and, "I don't think I know the rest of the words, either", all while playing the song. Hilarious
-The opening 5 tracks weren't bad either
Lowlights:
The overall inconsistencies. I'll probably never revisit any part of this show again.
