Performance

Far from the best Zoo TV I’ve heard, the band did the Job, delivered to goods to the paying Italian public, but that was about as far as it went. The set, though different, had lost the climatic ending it had before the first encore, Streets and Pride pushed back for ISHFWILF and ‘Stand by Me’.

After and average start with the first set, to boot began to show its charms with the Encore. Desire was a welcome surprise, and in-between the rather confusing Mr Macphisto phone call, UltraViolet led the way for a great With or Without You (especially with the cool sounding intro).

Sound

Despite the hype, I wasn’t really grabbed by the sound quality of the gig. In all fairness, it was better than the 3 star boots we have been treated over the last 6 weeks, but this recording still had a flat feel to it. The band in some areas sounded faint, especially Bono, and in others they were quite over powering, The Bass for instance. Ground was recovered however with the not to distant nor overpowering audience and the equality in which all parts of the bootleg came across. I therefore come to the conclusion that it was a good listen, the best one we have had since Caspers TUF boot.
