Performance:

The band seems to really be on it. Elevation starts off the evening properly, nothing special until the “Pump it Up” snippet arrives at the end. Bono’s hoarse voice isn’t necessarily that different from other nights on the Elevation tour but it seems to work here, Pride has more grit than I remember (probably because of the spot it’s in), as does Until the End of the World, Bono’s roars at the end made me very happy as a fan of that song. The Fly on the Elevation tour as you know is a whole other animal. This version is more of the same as other version but that doesn’t mean it isn’t amazing. The segue between UTEOTW and The Fly is something they should bring back.

An Iggy Pop snippet is always an epic win as well.
Even Better is good, nothing particularly special although it’s the last version of it until March 30th 2011! And oh my God would it return in a big way… (Edge messes up a on this version however)
Mysterious Ways, I forgot how it sounded like pre-360.

So much more funk, sexy and rock ‘n’ roll than what it is now. (Although I enjoyed it immensely at Anaheim2 last year) Bono’s voice is still wrecked though unlike the later tours. But yes, I’m going off topic, this versions greatly appreciated by the audience as far as I can tell. (Btw, 4 Achtung Baby songs in a row? Good stuff.)
Then In My Life and Stuck in a Moment come and ruin the vibe, although it is their tour which I guess means they have a right to appear

FUCK THOUGH, Bono’s voice is ravaged around at the start of Stuck. I just don’t like this song anymore. Moving on. Kite, an actual GOOD song on ATYCLB that isn’t overplayed. Now THIS is a song they should bring back in full <3 I’m biased, I’ll never tire of this song so I’m going to say as usual that this was an epic performance and speech by Bono and the band. Bono’s hoarse voice once again works here.
Gone, one of the most rocking songs on Pop, a song they should bring back by the way! S*** like Elevation, In a Little While, SBS and Magnificent lives on but Gone doesn’t? Although to be honest this version isn’t that epic. On the next tour though a segue out of Elevation would be sweet. Anyways…
New York bores me to tears here. Sorry, unless it’s the dvd version where I’m physically watching it I don’t like it. Moving on. Out of Control is amazing as always! But really rough here though LOL Edge you sure about this? it might be the recording but something’s iffy about this version. It almost falls apart a few times ahaha makes it very enjoyable though still. Sunday and Desire were pretty good, nothing that different (although the snippets are excellent). Party Girl and Stay were good, Bono’s Elevation era voice doesn’t sounds that good as always but he puts in real effort for Stay, Bad and Streets. Beautiful Day so late in the show was interesting, I totally forgot about it and was caught by surprise by this version.
The encore is the encore. Good stuff. Nothing I’ll be keeping on my iPod though. Still a good performance that I highly recommend checking out!

Audience:

They seem really up for this show. The jolt that Pride’s intro roars out made me jump as well. They really reacted to the songs and the oddness of the setlist. They enjoy Even Better which was a nice surprise because Edge mangles it. They seem to disappear for a bit during Gone though or Stuck (until Edge sings of course). overall I have no doubt that they were pumped up throughout the show in the arena.

Sound:

Sounds not intrusive or distracting to the bootleg listener. However you do feel like you’re not fully there as other, better sounding bootlegs allow you to be. Still worth listening to for a really good show.

Overall:

A really special show on a slightly underwhelming tour (until the later legs imo). The Elevation Tour is fantastic, if Bono’s voice had been better. Bono sounds older here than he does now! But overall the band sound incredible as usual, this show is really good but probably not something I’ll be keeping on my iPod very long to be honest. But worth listening for the many highlights!

Performance: Pretty awesome, although The Edge was having a bit of an off night during some portions, it seems. EBTTRT was loaded with off-notes/screw ups, and I initially thought "Out of Control" was too, but upon another listen, it seems like maybe the notes he's playing make sense, they just sound out of place. The rest of the band sounds good though, and Bono is having a good night vocally. Audience: Very good, nice and loud when they should be, and no one is annoying. Sound: Pretty good, but not perfect- about average quality for an arena show, I'd say. Nothing that's completely unlistenable. Overall: It's worth listening to, because it's a very spirited show, and the boys are always ecstatic to be in Boston. There are also quite a few great songs in here, and even though Edge sounds a little funny sometimes in "Out of Control", i wasn't paying attention to iTunes when I had the show on, and it completely caught me off guard to hear, in a good way. Highlights: -Elevation (Pump it Up snippet made this for me) -Until the End of the World -Stuck in a Moment -Kite -Desire (Snippets, again, are awesome) -Stay -Bad -Streets -Walk On No real lowlights, to be perfectly honest. Just an all around 4-star show for me.

Performance: Raw rock and soul! Such energy coming from the band, reciprocated by the audience, coupled with a really good setlist make this a magnificent performance. The band seem to extend quite a few "outros" of songs, especially BD, The Fly and a wonderful outro to Gone. The snippets are brilliant and in some cases very unusual, especially in Desire. Bono's interaction with the audience is great. The setlist really has a great flow to it. Plenty of upbeat rock to start with, a lovely coupling of Stuck and Kite, Gone through to SBS is great hard rock and a brilliant acoustic set. I love BD as a closer to the main set and a special mention should go to BTBS, especialy the Mark Chapman rap which has so much hurt in it! So, you're wondering why they lost 0.5 star? I've got to admit, there are some mistakes in there, especially in tuning from the Edge (see outro to EBTTRT!). However, I love the way the band sail through the mistakes. Audience: Fabulous in every respect. Great interaction with the band, especially Bono. Great audience. Sound: Decent audience recording. Audience don't get in the way of the sound too much. Overall: Definately one I shall be returning to! If you want an interesting set and real rock performance, then this is a boot for you. Highlights: -Setlist -The Fly -Gone -Desire -BTBS (especially the Mark Chapman rap) Lowlights: -None!!!

Performance: Kicking off with the usual, Elevation. It's an energetic start to the show, difficult to judge Bono's vocals at this point because of the nature of the song but so far so good. The band sound tight and in the mood. The Pump It Up snippet at the end is good. Is that Pride? Second? Wow. Decent performance overall, not particularly outstanding but I'm thinking it actually works better early in the set. I suppose this is a good time to assess Bono and I think it's thumbs up vocally. Introduction to Until The End Of The World sounds a little loose musically, but it comes together for the start of the first verse. In fact, it comes together for a truly enjoyable performance. Sticking with a little Zoo TV ensemble, enters The Fly, in it's typical Elevation reincarnation. Sublime, nothing much else to say. Even Better Than The Real Thing sounds fantastic. Edge makes a minor mistake but other than that, bang. Could it get any better? Well when Mysterious Ways kicks in, you can only assume that it can. Excellent. Stuck In A Moment was executed to near perfection. That is in turn followed by a great performance of Kite, which in turn hands over the floor to an old Pop favourite, Gone. Nailed. What else can I say? This is why I love U2. Now onto the Miami of the Elevation Tour. New York. I've always been a fan of it and tonight, I'm still a big fan. Fast forward the tape Sunday Bloody Sunday! I love this song on the Elevation Tour and it just continues a long line of extremely enjoyable performances on this one night in Boston. Desire is a song that is difficult not to enjoy. The beat, the lyrics, everything is just perfect. The snippets just turn it into something else though. Party Girl is so relaxed, everything just seems to be going in the right direction for this show. Stay is performed with such a beautiful feeling. Simply perfect. Bad is faultless. Perfect segue into Streets and a perfect performance. Great bouncing feel to the show now. Well, here it is. The song we should've heard long before now, Beautiful Day. Closing the main set in a very unusual fashion. I'm tired of praising the set and the performance now, but I am finding it difficult to pick faults. A good way to end what has been a brilliant main set. Bullet The Blue Sky opens the encore with the power we have come to expect from this song. Edge is bang on throughout. Time to slow it down now, With Or Without You. I'm not to keen on Bono's vocals at the start, but he picks it up and starts singing. Strong performance on the whole. One is exceptional. Closing the show is Walk On, such an inspirational song yet it's so easy to forget how great it is as a closer. Audience: Already up for it by starting the "oooh" during the Elevation introduction and continuing to be vocal throughout. Also contribute to Pride. They continue throughout to be fair to them, laughing at jokes, booing those who deserve it, cheering when applicable, singing when the chance allows. Credit to them. Sound: There are a few distorted moments throughout the show but unless you are listening for them, they're barely noticeable. Some members of the crowd come through individually in the recording which is never good. The low frequencies rumble quite a bit more than you'd expect them to throughout. The actual clarity of the recording though is pretty good. Nasty fast forward sound after New York Overall: An absolute jewel in the crown. Nothing more. Highlights: - Pump It Up Snippet - Zoo Tv Section - Sunday Bloody Sunday - Desire - Stay (Faraway, So Close) - One Lowlights: - Where is Out of Control? - Noticeable skip midway through

Sound: Ok , good to listen Overall: Very good show. The setlist is awesome.Different to the rest of the tour , this make this boot really to worth. Pride worked very good second. I think this song with Bono in 100 % ( early in the show ) and the audience too will work very well !! The same situation happened when they played early in the set One or With or without you . I dream to hear in this days a show opened with Streets , i think it would be great !! Highlights: Setlist, Elevation, Pride, Kite, Gone, Out of control and Desire

Performance: The band wasn't in great form, particularly Edge. Several mistakes early in the show took away from the great energy they were playing with. I though Even Better Than the Real Thing was one of their worst performances of that song. Audience: The audience was full of energy. They were pumped for Elevation, and kept it up throughout the show. I never was distracted by them. Sound: Good, but not great. Some noticeable skips were a little distracting, but overall, it was more good than bad. Overall: I appreciate the effort of changing up the setlist, with Pride early and Beautiful Day late, but there wasn't much else special. EBTTRT was not good. Out of Control was also a little weak. There was some good though. While I love Bad>40>Streets, Allison in place of 40 was very good. I wouldn't want it for every show, but as a changeup, I loved it. Stay was beautiful as always. I love the Elevation version of the Fly. The encore was also great, with the She's a Mystery to Me snippet really standing out. The long Msrk David Chapman speech is outstanding in this show. It wouldnt be my first choice for an Elevation recommendation, but a good show nonetheless. Highlights: Bad, WTSHNN, Stay, The Fly, BTBS, One
