Performance:

Band was just amazing. You could hear they were really into it and had a lot fun. The part where Adam starts playing With or Without You when Bono is saying Out of Contol is really funny!

Audience:

Nothing special, but not annoying either..

Sound:

Excellent sound quality!

Overall:

Great bootleg. Great vertigo tour show. Some great performances. Highlights were the Ocean, Gloria, Running to Stand Still, Original of the Species and Bad.

Performance: The best of several Vertigo concerts I saw live. The energy and excitement really build in the second half of the show. The encores are especially exciting--they were ad libing a bit with the setlist. Audience: U2 on fire in Boston, what else can you say? Sound: Solid. Overall: A great Vertigo show with clear audio. Highlights included surprises in the encore: Out of Control (with funny miscommunication between Bono and Adam), a very sweet (and sweetly flubbed Original of the Species) and a transcendent Bad to close it out...plus the audience chanting the old "how long..." well after the band left the stage.

Performance: Some flubs here and there- "Original of the Species", notably, but even that song ended up being one of my favorites. The band really related this show to the crowd, and performed as one with their audience. People- including U2 themselves- have said that the American city to see the band in is New York...but I think based on the shows I've heard, I'd be making a pilgrimage to Boston before NYC. These shows are always magical. This is no exception. Audience: Great crowd- audible, never annoying. I'd like to hear them singing along just a tad bit more though; a bit more echo after Bono's vocal. Sound: Not bad at all- typical Vertigo 4-star show. Nothing to rave about, and no complaints either. Overall: Great, great show. Really captures some energy. The setlist is really perfect, with some great performances of songs that didn't get a ton of Vertigo play, and Bono's voice sounding great. Edge is also really good on this recording. Highlights: -"Gloria" sounds like it was written for this tour in this performance. Sounds awesome. -Extended outro of "One"...Bono talks to the crowd a little bit while Edge plays his solo, and then they go into their little call-and-response chant to end the song. Really lovely -"Running to Stand Still"- possibly my favorite Vertigo performance of this -"Original of the Species" wasn't bad; there are several screwups but they are humorous and the good parts are still great. -"Bad". Need I say more? Perfect show closer. Snippet of "40" leaves the audience completely alone and singing, and then Edge ever-so-subtly comes back in, and the rest of the band carries "Bad" right back out til the end. Magnificent!
