Performance:
This is the last of four Toronto shows at the start of the third leg after a month break and you can tell the boys benefited tremendously for it. They sounded fresh, energetic, passionate and, most importantly, excited. Maybe the interesting setlist had something to do with or maybe it was just the break.
Vertigo is a good indicator of how the rest of the show's going to fall into place and you know you're in for a better-than-average performance when Bono goes absolutely nuts and that's what happens here. It's an excellent Vertigo with a great little Rockaway Beach snippet thrown in for good measure.
Electric Co. is always heavenly to my ears and this time its got some smashing snippets followed by a classic rendition of The Ocean all the while Bono's energy level is maintained to near the highest possible.
Beautiful Day was another standout and I really liked the Edge story at the start of Miracle Drug which is also played very well as it always is.
I skip the sheer crap-infested dog's breakfast that is Sometimes before we are treated to quality War and Human Rights sets. From Love and Peace right through, it's all good here. But most notably, this is one of the best third leg Streets you're ever likely to find. One's extended outro with Edge and Lanios was another small win for diversity and then you have Ol' Man River with the EV providing an excellent closer to an excellent main set.
The encore is the business on this boot! What a line-up - from Discotheque to 40. All Because Of You is the only weak link and it could have probably been replaced with Original or Zoo Station at the top of the set but no major complaints from me. But this boot will be best remembered for THAT version of Discotheque. What a find! Absolutely outstanding. The only downside being that it didn't have any Boom-cha's.
Audience:
This really should be N/A because the IEM doesn't do the audience any justice but they can be heard a lot of the time and you could tell they loved every minute of it.
Sound:
This is a weird one. It's not a fully complete recording for a start. You come in on the second verse of City of Blinding Lights and Love and Peace cuts short as does Ol' Man River. Add to that beeps and clicks throughout and you get a quite a few distractions here and there. Finally, while Bono can be found loud and clear, the other band tend not to have any full clarity that would warrant a 4-star rating or better.
Overall:
Highlights
A rockin Vertigo with a cool snippet
Beautiful Day (can't get enough of Sgt. Peppers)
The Ocean
Streets (one of the better Vertigo versions you'll hear especially the notes Bono hits towards the end - loved it!)
A fantastic encore - Outstanding diversity. Discotheque complete with an awesome Relax snippet is something to behold (or listen to) (Note to band: please do a Pop encore next tour!!!) and Fast Cars is a lot of fun.
Lowlights
No Cry in Electric Co.
I'd recommend getting this boot if you're in the mood for something that's not your run-of-the-mill Vertigo gig. The band are switched on, it's a great setlist and it's fairly decent sound. "Love....falling from above!!"

Performance:
It was certainly a different gig compared to most vertigo show, for a start Bono seemed very chatty, even for Bono. The lovely speech about The Edge before Miracle Drug or the talk before Miss Sarajevo, this set a kind of relaxed feeling around the gig, but not to much that it made fault of their performance. If i was to be picky i could point to Pride and The Fly and say that, these probably weren't the best performances U2 have played, infact The Fly was probably the worst version of the song i've heard, but despite these and the guitar turning trouble before Yahweh, the performance was quite refreshing. Stand outs were Vertigo, played as an out and out rock song, Love and Peace until its premature ending and Fast Cars, which turns out to be quite a good live song.
Audience:
As Aussiemofo said, it pretty hard to judge on a IEM recording, though they were hearable, and sounded like they were making a bit of noise.
Sound:
Well were shall I start, it was certainly an interest listen, remanisint of the good old Elevation IEM, minus the 'count in'. Bono, Adam, Larry and Edges guitar were clear, Edges vocals and the crowd were not, though it was to be expected considering the source. At times the recording felt a bit blunt and one dimensional, though it wasn't s bad that you didn't on a long 2 and a half hour train journey to fall into a trance and feel as though you were actually there, well that was the case until a few songs were suddenly cut short (COBL, LOPOE) or a loud bleep suddenly fills you ears (The Zooropa album style ending in O'l Man River).
Overall:

Performance:
he third-leg of the Vertigo Tour seemed to be an experimental leg, with songs that hadn't been played for a good while recieving a dust-off and replay. A typical third-leg set with the highlights being Miss Sarajevo, Fast Cars, The Electric Co, The Fly, Discotheque and Miracle Drug.
Bono telling jokes when Edge had problems with his equipment was a bit of a laugh at the beginning of Yahweh, and the 'Edge From The Future' speech is always a cool little addition. Hearing Discotheque from the band that seems to have officially disowned Pop was interesting, and nice to see they gave it a good run.
Audience:
You don't hear them too much through an IEM recording, but they are audible at the end of some songs, and from that, are right into it. It makes you wonder what their reaction was when they heard Pop Muzik starting up.
Sound:
As aussiemofo has pointed out in his very detailed review, there seemed to be a lot of noise and static as well as some dead air. Either the sound recording equipment was utterly crap or bought from Wal-Mart. Not a good recording at all.
It's also an unfortunate fact that some songs were cut. Also, the vocals are way too prominent and sounds flat. If you truly want this show, the lossless is your best bet. The MP3 version is way too poor-sounding, and you will notice the difference.
Overall:
While no means the best or one of the best late 2005 shows, it's a good listen (neither brilliant nor poor) and a keeper if you like IEM recordings. 3.5 stars.

Performance:
:
Generally very good....although Bono's out-of-tune guitar in "The Fly" sounded pretty awful....but it was interesting to get a better sense of what he plays during this song. Besides that and Edge's little mishap in Yahweh, I'd say the band's performance was the highlight of this show.
Audience:
Hard to judge the audience for being too quiet since this is an IEM, but they were still audible at times, so that's always a plus.
Sound:
IEM, so you're getting a lot of static throughout the whole performance. While I personally don't listen to this often, I find that I do enjoy listening to them every once in a while, for a "behind-the-scenes" sort of look at the way the show is produced. It's interesting to hear the added instruments like the piano on SYCMIOYO or the organ on LAPOE. The guy's voice always cracks me up though...."Bass.....1, 2, 3, 4!" And the click-track is pretty annoying, but it does add to certain songs. (Miss Sarajevo comes to mind). While I won't punish it for being an IEM, the constant static really does hurt the sound.
Overall:
Show Highlights:
This really goes without saying, but the Mofo/Discotheque sequence really steals the show. In fact, it's the whole reason why I chose this show for this week's BRT. Great little number, even if it was pretty sloppy.
Bono's in a great mood the whole show....laughing and cracking jokes. Many of which are actually funny!
Drums at the end of "The Ocean"....and I pretty much always hate that song.
Vertigo was surprisingly good.
Certain snippets (Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band/Please/Relax)
Eddie Vedder singing "Ol' Man River"
Bono reading "Have a glass of water!" from the teleprompter before SYCMIOYO
Show Lowlights:
Certain Snippets (Black Hills of Crap-koda)
As much as I love Africa, I've never been a big fan of making it the sole emphasis of this "Streets." Tonight's version seemed a bit over-the-top in this regard. That being said, at least it seemed to cut down on the intro into "One."
Bad sound and missing chunks of good songs (COBL, OMR)
Overall:
This bootleg isn't ever going to be remembered for it's sound quality, but it will be remembered for being loaded with snippets and one of the few Vertigo-tour performances of Discotheque. If you love the Vertigo versions of this song, it's worth getting this show just to hear it performed. It's also a great show worth checking out if you don't mind IEMs and you want to hear Bono having fun during the entire show.

Performance:
Good. Bono is a bit off key on occasion (especially right at the beginning with COBL) but otherwise they're all very good. As others have commented, Bono is in good cheer and whilst I usually hate the fact that he has a teleprompt, I did find the 'glass of water; comment before SYCMIOYO pretty amusing.
Audience:
Impossible to comment really
Sound:
Uggh. Like listening in a toilet while you have tinnitus. Really drags it down for me. IEM has never been anything other than a curio for me - as a listen-along boot I think they are awful. And this is not a good one (eg Saitama is). Pops, scratches, scuffles underneath the jacket, dropped songs. Really ruined the whole thing for me and I struggled to listen to all the songs in their entirety because of it
Overall:
Good gig let down by a bad recording. If you are not a fan of IEM avoid. This will not convert you. If you can bear it then it's a good curio listen, but nothing more. Keeping Discotheque and Fast Cars, deleting everything else as I have far better quality recordings available to me. Band were good though; it would be nice if a good audience ever turned up.

Performance:
A solid, energetic performance from the boys. From what exists of it on the recording, COBL sounds like a strong opening, but the show really starts to take off with a great version of Vertigo. The energy really seems to build here at the "hello hellos" even before the first verse, and the Rockaway Beach snippet in the middle is always a welcome addition. Elevation serves its purpose before a standout performance of Electric Co., with two snippets (People I Don't Know Are Trying to Kill Me, See Me Feel Me) that we need to hear more often. The nice transition into The Ocean and the following segue into a clear performance of Beautiful Day, complete with the Sgt. Peppers snippet, gives this first part of the show a great flow and adequate energy that seems to taper off in the middle section, beginning with Miracle Drug.
Sometimes' highlight is Bono's opera note, and I share Jeremy's dislike for the Black Hills of Dakota snippet; it seems out of place, almost making it too much like a sing-a-long in an otherwise serious song. The clicks and beeps in LAPOE and its cutting-out before the end with Bono's drumming hid too much of what I always want to hear in this song--angry guitar and bellowing drums. I wish the static in Sunday Bloody Sunday was a bit louder, though, because not even that could hide a sloppy vocal performance from Bono. Hearing the extra guitar parts at the beginning of BTBS was the highlight for that song, which was more than made up for in a great performance of Miss Sarajevo. It's always nice to hear Bono sing in Italian, and he and the rest of the band really seemed to put all their energy into this performance. Pride is solid as usual, and Streets--have to disagree with you here, aussiemofo--is marred by a less-than-strong vocal performance. Edge, Adam, and Larry, from what we can hear from them, sound like their usual freight train running through the arena, but Bono sounded tired. One is great, nice to hear Lanois, and always nice to hear the 'Do you hear me coming Lord" part. Wish we had gotten to hear the entirety of Ol' Man River; great to hear Eddie Vedder with the band. Aside from Miss Sarajevo, there's nothing outstanding in this middle part of the show.
As it's been said, Discotheque remains the track people will remember this boot for, and I like it mainly for the Pop Muzik intro, Relax snippet, and the fact that the actually played it. It added great energy to the show, and the click track from the IEM device actually added to the performance as well. The usually reliable Fly is the only cog in this encore, sounding unusually and completely off. WOWY and ABOY serve their usual great performances here--I may be in the minority, but I love ABOY and hearing it in the encore is really enjoyable. Then we get the real highlight of the show--Fast Cars. Don't be fooled by Discotheque--this is the real hidden gem of this show, and overshadows the Boston performance by about eight miles. Solid, energetic performance from all members, one of the most cohesive songs on the night. Yahweh always sounds nice acoustically, but the click track deters from this, and 40 closes out the show nicely.
Audience:
Decent as any, I would guess. You can really only hear them properly on Pride, and they sound pretty into it.
Sound:
The clicks, beeps, and bursts of static really detracts from the quality of this boot for me. It's nice to hear some extra guitar and keyboard parts, especially in Elevation, Bullet, and One, but as Drew said, the vocals are too emphasized here and the band sounds too distant. Particularly on songs like Bullet and LAPOE, I always love hearing the texture of Edge's guitar, and I couldn't hear it on this boot. I could barely hear Adam and Larry, which especially detracts from a thundering song like Streets.
Overall:
Ultimate highlights:
Fast Cars. Best performance I've heard.
Discotheque, primarily for its Pop Muzik and Relax snippets
Others:
Vertigo
Electric Co.
The Ocean
Miss Sarajevo
Show Lowlights:
Love and Peace or Else
Sunday Bloody Sunday
The Fly
Overall:
A few standout tracks are balanced with some less-than-perfect ones and distracting/interfering sound to make this neither a great show nor a poor one. Grab it if you like IEMs, Fast Cars, and two minutes of Eddie Vedder.

Performance:
As I said, they seemed like they were having fun, although there were a few screw ups, like Bono messing up the lyrics in Beautiful Day(I found that rather funny actually ) but it was still pleasant to listen to. Bono's voice sounded great in this, and I loved hearing bajillions of snippets, always makes it better! Having Eddie and Danny in there made the performances more interesting, kind of like adding spices to food (Bad analogy lol) Larry also sounded good in this one, he must have had a good day But the best part of this whole thing is: DISCOTHEQUE!!!!! The performance is fantastic, why they didn't play it more often confuses me
Audience:
Not much to say here, you didn't hear that much unless there was a huge roar, it was almost uninspiring
Sound:
The one major problem I have with this boot is that it keeps getting short spouts of static sounding stuff (Don't know the term for that lol ) Also it would beep randomly or go completely silent, it drove me crazy
Overall:
It really is a great concert, the boys sound fantastic And the audience doesn't interrupt, but you can still hear them at parts The sound of the recoding is annoying, but not enough to make me hate the boot.
Highlights:
Discotheque by far, also, Ol' Man River was a nice addition. Apart from Bono's messup in BD, the performance is very very good, Sgt Peppers is always a great snippet for that song. Hearing Electric Co. and The Ocean was nice to.
Lowlights:
SYCMIOYO and Miracle Drug are favorite songs of mine, but...I just wasn't feeling it...I don't know why .
Download this bootleg, it's worth the annoying sound.

Performance:
The band was on that Saturday night in Toronto for the last night of 4 for them.
Audience:
The audience was amazing even though you dont get to here much of them in this recording..
Sound:
The bootleg would be good if you didnt get someone trying to play keyboards and other instruments in the background with the band.. There is a reason there are only 4 members in the band..... They dont need any help...
Overall:
The high is the band on the Saturday night to finnish the 4 shows that week starting on the Monday night. The low is the idiot adding to the bootleg taking away from a great show..

Performance is tops, as usual.
Audience:
This part is only rated, not commented on.
Sound:
It's certainly an IEM, as every other review says some static.
Overall:
FAST CARS - is the main reason i came to this bootleg, it is a great version, some static, but currently it is the best you're gonna get. For Fast Cars, the best b side of the new milenium, download this bootleg!
