The only other previous performance of the song since the end of the Elevation Tour took place on 26 March 2005 at a public rehearsal concert two days before the first official show of the tour. This is also the only concert where Crumbs From Your Table appeared in the main set rather than the encore.

Performance

I can be a nitpicker from time to time, but I can't find anything to complain about here. The setlist is almost as standard as it gets for the 3rd leg of the Vertigo Tour- including Miss Sarajevo, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, and The Electric Co. without the Cry intro. Small gems include "Crumbs From Your Table", during which the band apparently had technical problems, but I didn't notice them on my first listen. Bono mentions them after. The placement of "Crumbs" at the front of the set is fresh, and makes the song sound exciting, as opposed to tired at the end of the show.

There's also a nice inclusion of "Stuck in a Moment" in the encore, which is a rarity for Vertigo.

The performances of "Vertigo" and "Miss Sarajevo" are absolutely top notch. "Pride" was astounding as well, and I actually didn't mind "Sunday Bloody Sunday" this time around either, which is one I usually skip on VT bootlegs.

Sound

To me, this is how a bootleg should sound. It doesn't sound pro-recorded, or even soundboard, but instead it feels like you're really there in the Fleet Center, minus the echo and booming noises produced in a room. All 4 members can be heard clearly, particularly The Edge, and Larry, on his big parts. Adam's bass is exactly where it should be, and Bono is mixed perfectly into the sound.

Recording: "D7 - SS DSML" - 4 stars

Audience

They are VERY involved, singing along at all of the appropriate moments, and going absolutely CRAZY for Bono when he does his Pavarotti opera in "Miss Sarajevo". They carry certain songs, and no members are annoying in this recording.

Overall

I downloaded the entire thing solely to hear "Crumbs From Your Table" placed that early in the setlist, and listened from the beginning to get the feel for that opening 6 songs of the show. I couldn't turn it off afterwards, however- this was not just an average night for Vertigo...this was a performance the band believed in. I hate to write reviews that have 5 stars all the way down sometimes, because it seems as though some people will just think YOU loved the show for some minor reason, and won't take you seriously. But trust me, guys- this one's worth it.

Highlights:

-Vertigo (I cannot stress this enough)
-Crumbs From Your Table
-Miracle Drug (includes the best version of the "Edge is from the future" story I've ever heard)
-Miss Sarajevo
-Where the Streets Have No Name

Lowlights:

-The Ocean (don't strangle me- it's really cool to hear again, especially paired up with The Electric Co., but this version didn't do anything for me even though its a short track)
-Bullet the Blue Sky (Never been good on Vertigo, IMO)

I'm not really sure where to put the encore. It's completely untraditional, in that it includes "The First Time" and "Stuck"...I much preferred the ZooTV encore opener, with Zoo/Fly/Mysterious, and then perhaps playing those two songs before "40" would have been really cool...but I'm just not sure. It doesn't work as an encore for me. Great individual live tracks, but as an encore, the ZooTV throwback spectacle was boggling.
