Only two songs , played well , but not a great boot. On City of blindness lights Bono improvised part of the lyrics

Performance: Going by the current temperature in Washington, Bono's vocals here are stellar, even hitting some of the higher notes for both songs; an unfortunate fact is that some of both Pride and City of Blinding Lights are pre-recorded. The little parts about the American dream and the American references were great - and to think it was 46 years ago on Tuesday since Dr. King had a dream. What else can you play for a history-making event? "We fell in love with America and America fell in Love with us". Audience: What else can you expect from a 400,000-strong audience ready to make history? Sound: An excellent broadcast recording with no audible problems whatsoever. Overall: Excellent show; nothing more than that.

Performance: Amazing performance. I love Pride, it was very special to watch them play it live . COBL is at it's best, I hope it stays like this on the tour. Bono's voice is amazing!!!!!!!! Audience: Not very audible. Sound: Great sound. Overall: Highlights: Everything!

Performance: To imagine that the boys would be able to perform this song at the very spot that Dr. King gave his famous speech makes this the most significant historical performance EVER of this song, even exceeding Sarajevo. Audience: The audience was completely into the performance, and obviously the highlight of the event. Sound: Excellent Braodcast. Overall: Highlights - U2 again raises their game for an event that would dwarf most performers. A performance of historical significance with perfect sound.

Performance: You must see this boot in it's context: it's the first full-band performance since quite a while and it's freezing in Washington. The boys play for the new president Barack Obama and the whole world is watching. Pride is pretty okay, Bono's voice was pretty good (keep the cold in mind!) and he made the 'naaaaaaaaame' in the chorus really long, which was nice to hear. There was a great sequence from Pride going over into COBL, but I must say that it was pre-recorded. Still, it sounds really cool and they really nail COBL. Too bad they left the 'time' part away, but very good performance. Audience: 200.000? I believe someone said 200.000. Plus the rest of the world. Sound: TV Overall: So, why 4? you might wonder. This isn't a real boot. It's just 2 songs. Two brilliant songs, but I'm leaving the 5 stars for the real boots, those with at least 15 songs. Highlight is, don't believe I'm gonna say this, the speech at the end of Pride. He used the 'dream'-bit from the Vertigo-tour, but also named Israel and Palestina now. The sequence was great too. And COBL obviously.

Performance: Cool when Bono does an American Impression during COBL! Great performances!! Audience: Tonnes of them, mega crowd. Sound: Really good sound, very very good! Overall: Only two songs, but they are both great, bit of history for you here!
