Performance notes: Mothers Of The Disappeared stays in the setlist after being performed at the previous show in Zurich; this is the first time it is performed at consecutive concerts since February 1998. Near the end of Crazy Tonight, The Edge plays a snippet of Discotheque's guitar riff while Bono sings a couple of Frankie Goes To Hollywood snippets. Bono wears a Bayern Munich shirt at the end of the concert.

Performance

I'm shooting a little low here because I think there are some really clear examples of this being a low spot for the 360 Tour. I watched the first part of the show on YouTube (w/ Alysha's source as the audio track) and had the following observations:

-360 started off with a setlist similar to ZooTV in the way the band tried to come out swinging with new material. That...obviously didn't work as well, or so they thought by the time the third leg rolls around.

-We have to endure Stingray Guitar to open this leg, and so be it - but I can't help but think of how odd this pivot is. The constant run of new NLOTH tunes is replaced by...another new song to open (which packs nowhere near the punch of Breathe), this time with the house lights on. Elevation Tour, anybody? As if the comparison needed any more support, they slide right into their most comfortable hit as the house lights kick off.

What a lame way to start a show. Uninspired and boring. Soon they'd be opening with a full suite from Achtung Baby, proving that this never really "worked" for them either. I'm not trying to unfairly rank this performance low, but there's a real lack of energy in the first 10 minutes of this show and it seems appropriate to finally get these thoughts down in a view.

Bono's voice sounds a little tired and Larry doesn't play with as much authority as I'm used to hearing. Overall just not really hitting the marks for me. Mysterious Ways is a love/hate performance, with Bono doing that ridiculous cadence in the chorus (but including a My Sweet Lord snippet which he nails).

Elevation really does pop off on this one, though. Finally! The rest...even UTEOTW...feels really, really flat. A small stride is hit with North Star / Mercy which tells you where the energy level is at for this show.

The AASK stuff has not aged well, as most of us know, but Mothers of the Disappeared works well after SBS. Wish they would have just canned Walk On.

Sound

Not my favorite boot sound. A bit light and airy for my taste, and Larry sounds like he's in the next room at times.

Audience

They barely factor into this one. If you're looking for a crowd-heavy 360 boot, head to Italy. They're going nuts in the video though!

Overall

Not one that I think I'd ever revisit. They play the songs. That's about it.
