Performance

A great performance by the band. They seemed really relaxed and Bono was in a good mood. He dropped a ton of snippets as a result!

As this was my first U2 show, I had high expectations of the band and they blew those expectations out of the water. They were incredible. I loved every second of it. The first four songs, The Miracle, The Electric Co, Vertigo and I Will Follow were fantastic, great energy from the band.

Some great introductions by the band between I Will Follow and Iris. Drum roll please!

Iris really surprised me. It really works well live, especially with the Hold Me Close snippet.

Sunday Bloody Sunday was another highlight, I know a lot of people don't like this tours version of the song but I liked it. I loved hearing Adams bass so clearly. SBS was accompanied by a Johnny Comes Marching Home snippet. Will he ever get home?

Raised By Wolves into Until The End Of The World. Wow. A very powerful couple of songs. UTEOTW is one of their greatest live songs, definitely up there with Where The Streets Have No Name. There was an amazing "COMFORT ME" transition between the two as well. One of the best "COMFORT ME" transitions of the leg? I think so.

All I Want Is You! Wow, that was a big surprise! I could see that Edge had his black and white Stratocaster after Desire and I thought to myself, "All I Want Is You? Surely not?!?". Then Edge started playing it and I was so happy! A very emotional version for Bono as he dedicated it to his wife, Ali. Very intimate too, Bono taking his sunglasses off during the song. I loved it and so did the crowd. There was a man in the row in front of me who went wild. It was his wedding song and he got his wife on the phone. Very cool to see! An Into The Mystic snippet at the end to top it off too. A superb performance and the only time on the European leg!

October in October! I think it will be a while before that happens again! A great version too, the final note by Bono seemed to go on and on! A very powerful song.

Bullet The Blue Sky! The megaphone!

Wow, this tours version of Bullet is amazing. Edge's guitar is sublime. I know a lot of people don't like the megaphone but I believe that it definitely adds to the song. The whole rap that Bono does is sublime.

I run... into your arms!

I'm not dangerous... I'm in danger!

Zooropa! Wow. This was a very emotional song for me as it is one of my favourite songs from my favourite album. I had tears in my eyes. It was so beautiful.

We're gonna dream of the world we want to live in. We're gonna dream out loud.

Zooropa is an incredible song and an incredible transition into Where The Streets Have No Name.

Where The Streets Have No Name! It was absolutely fantastic! This song is amazing. I was glad that it had the lalala/lololo's. I know a lot of people don't like them but I enjoyed them a lot! They are so much fun to sing!

Pride really surprised me. Some have said that it's lost its energy but it was absolutely incredible! It is so much fun live. Everyone in the arena is on their feet singing.

Love! Love! Love! Love! Love!

With Or Without You! A fantastic performance. Perhaps because of Shine Like Stars? That was another big surprise! I did shout "Shine Like Stars!" before he sang it.

YEAH, WE'LL SHINE LIKE STARS IN THE SUMMER NIGHT!

I was ecstatic! I was definitely not expecting Shine Like Stars during my first U2 show!

Beautiful Day!!! One of my favourite songs! It was great, even if a lot of hardcore fans don't like it on this tour.

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band! We hope that you'll enjoy the show!

WOW!!! I went MAD!!! I was not expecting that!!! I was so, so happy!!! It is one of the best snippets, in my opinion. A Blackbird snippet too to top it all off!! AMAZING.

It was definitely a Beautiful Day!!!

Sound

A great quality bootleg.

Although the "COMFORT ME" transition is during the Raised By Wolves track. It should be part of UTEOTW,

Recording: Audience microphone - 4 stars

Audience

The audience was around me was pretty good, although not worthy of 5 stars.

During Invisible, many were checking their phones and even listening to the videos they had captured earlier on in the show. I guess the band was 'Invisible' to them. It probably didn't help that I was behind the main stage. During the rest of the show however, the crowd was really good.

Overall

An amazing show. Only a week previously I had conceded that I'd have to wait until the next European leg to see U2. Thank goodness for the ticket drop on Saturday. I was able to get tickets!!! Even if they were behind the main stage, they were better than no tickets at all!

It was great to meet Tim and Ali off U2start after the show as well!

It was truly a beautiful day! I can't wait to see them again!!!
