Performance:
Band was in top form for this gig. Bono sounded a bit raspy a few times but was still excellent. Larry was phenomenal and Edge and Adam were were just perfect.
Great performances of Breathe, No Line, Stuck, Crazy Tonight, The Unforgettable Fire, and Ultraviolet.
Audience:
Audience was participating entire time and never let up.
Sound:
Awesome sounding broadcast
Overall:
Highs: Entire performance, band, audience, sound, just absolutely incredible. Best show I've heard so far.
This review is written by david2304 and written on 2009-08-21 08:59 am.
Performance:
on form as per usual: Unknown Caller gets better each gig, Sunday Bloody Sunday brought the house down and Stuck in a moment; well I wish I was stuck in that moment
Audience:
loads of Yorkies; can't get better than that
Sound:
fantastic as you'd expect from a radio broadcast
Overall:
U2 Live from Sheffield in Gods Country - champion lad

Performance:
I was underrating this concert..instead is great.....! The performance is very very good, it's not one of the hottest date of 360 tour, like Barcelona, Milan (only 8 july), oe Dublin week-end, but the performance is very good ! Absolutely great beautiful day, streeet, walk on .
Audience:
Good
Sound:
The sound quality is very good, because this is a radio broadcast bootleg.
Overall:
Ok the sound quality, and performance of the band...!!! I like it !

Performance:
Absolutely outstanding. Best gig of the tour by the best band in the world.
All 4 guys at their best. Bono's voice is amazing - and he sings at the top of his range with such passion. As a Christian it felt like a worship event and the claw makes it feel like we're in heaven! LOL!
Audience:
U2 gigs in the North of England are always the best )
Sound:
Radio so perfect
Overall:
Highlights : all of it
Lowlights - didn;t want it to ever end.

Performance:
Larry ,Edge & Adam tight as a knot.....Bono clearly struggled in parts so I don't know if people were listening to the same gig as I was ! He needs the couple of weeks off after Cardiff to rest the vocal chords. I was at the Wembley 14th show and his voice was far better overall !
Audience:
Came through well due to the quality of the broadcast
Sound:
Digital radio broadcast source
Overall:
Bono's voice not top notch here (compare it against Dublin 27th July for example)...other than that excellent as always.

Performance:
Amazing performance, on fire, perfect from every band member, no mistakes a magnificnet night. My favourite songs were Boots, Vertigo, Elevation and Unknown Caller and ISHFWILF! It felt and still feels like a dream to be honest, I've been waiting four years and it was worth the wait!
Audience:
Absoloutely amazing audience singing their hearts out all the way though, I was one of them!! The crowd love the band I have a feeling the band loved the crowd.
Sound:
Perfect sound quality, thank you so much 100% 5 Stars, Best of this tour!
Overall:
highlights:
ISHFWILF, amazing corwd singing all the way though
Verigo, full on rock song
Boots, full on rock song
Elevation, full on rock funk and groove song
Beautiful Day, beautiful song, beautifully played
Crazy Remix, wow so funky and popmarty
Lowlights:
When it finished, i wanted more Everything was perfect about the bootleg if I'm honest!

Performance:
the band were brilliant!
I was there on the night, and the atmosphere was brilliant. the recording does fairly well recreating it as well, tbh.
it would be a 5 star performance, had WOWY not been it's usual 360 tour not-quite-as-good-as-usual self.
Bono made a speech about the A Level results that came out that day, too, and asked the band how many they each got. the replies, as you can imagine, were unspectacular.
Audience:
really into it. I can only speak for myself, but I shouted along to every song. you can only hear the audience when you need to, for example at the end of Pride with the obligatory "oh ohoh oh" chant.
it was the first time U2 had performed in Yorkshire for over a decade, and as the recording shows, the audience were well up for it.
Sound:
good radio broadcast. it's as good a sound as you're gonna get from a bootleg, it's crystal clear.
Overall:
brilliant radio broadcast of a fantastic gig that's sure to become a highlight of the tour and a classic show for fans and collectors alike.
Highlights:
The Unforgettable Fire - a legendary but sadly overlooked 80s track is brought back and given new life.
City Of Blinding Lights - a live fan favourite, they did the song justice here.
Streets - the ultimate U2 song by most accounts, a great performance and the crowd went wild when they heard the signature organ sound.
Ultraviolet - a powerful rendition and welcomed return of a U2 classic, the most Zoo TV moment of the show.

Performance:
Brilliant, great performance, as said in other reviews, the mans voice is standing up well!
Audience:
Crowd (from what you can hear), sounds pretty into it to me!
Sound:
Best so far and as it's a radio broadcast to be expected...
Overall:
No lowlights, even if get on your bootz seems to receive a few neg reviews... As usual magnificent is magnificent and one of my fave songs.
Thanks to the taper for capturing such an excellent broadcast and to U2 Start for allowing us all to share & enjoy! Living "downunder" we don't get to see the guys so often or when they're as fresh into the tour
This review is written by Juzpez and written on 2009-08-22 10:10 am.
Performance:
The band are really in fine form here, especially Adam. Just listen to the bass in Streets but throughout the show his playing is awesome! Not too much chat from Bono, they just get on do what they do best and deliver the music. Brilliant stuff.
Audience:
Hard to hear but obviously loving it.
Sound:
It's brilliant to hear the 360 show the way it should be heard. The bass comes through really well and all the instruments and the vocals are clear.
Overall:
Being another down under fan we haven't been able to see the show live yet so this broadcast is a real bonus. A lot of highlights here. No Line and Magnificent are, well, magnificent. Unforgettable Fire and Streets are also fantastic. No real low lights for me. Thanks so much to the taper and U2 Start for sharing this with us.

Performance:
Not the best Performance of the Band. Music of Adam, Edge and Larry is good. But Bono`s singing is not as good as it could be. And there`s almost no audience participation. U2 need a break to rest a bit.
Audience:
Audience is okay. But not as good as Milan or Barcelona.
Sound:
Almost perfect. But in my opinion there`s a bit less Bass on this recording. Could be better.
Overall:
A good Bootleg but not perfect. Band plays a straight show with no suprises. Bono's voice isn`t at it`s best.

Performance:
I was at this gig, and the bootleg captures the performance pretty well. Although, there were a couple of screw ups that seem to have disappeared!
Audience:
Brilliant! It was emotional, and as a crowd, Sheff was up for it!
Sound:
Its all good, crisp, clear and well mixed. The next best thing to being stood under the amazing PA!
Overall:
A brilliant gig, for me the highs were Unknown Caller (which bought a tear to my eye on the night!), and COBL, I've never been a massive fan of Pride, but it rocked!
This review is written by docu2 and written on 2009-08-22 11:12 pm.
Performance:
The band gave an excellent performance. Yes, Bono's voice is a little strained at times but that's to be expected. He still belted out most songs to perfection and with passion. Excellent all round.
Audience:
I was there that night and found the audience was reserved on the whole, even for a small venue. Nevermind, I enjoyed myself!
Sound:
Radio broadcast.
Overall:
It has to be 5/5 overall for the bootleg.
The only low for me was "I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight" only because I'm not keen on that version (but that's nothing to do with the bootleg!).
This review is written by tinykidhugefan and written on 2009-08-23 10:51 am.
Performance:
Top Quality Show. The punch that Breathe packs at the start of the boot is enough to kick you in the stomach and wind you breathless. Unofrgettable fire, better than ever: I should know, I was there, and it sounds almost as good on the radio broadcast!
THe energy seriously translates from Don Valley to the rest of Britain, and the conitinent, and the world. From anthems such as where the streets have non name to dug up treasures like ultraviolet light....as fresh and beautiful as ever.
Audience:
Strong. Shame the crowd singing and responce is muffled and unrecognizale for moments like the end of crazy.
Sound:
Perfect balance of bass, guitar, Bono and drums. And they got it just right with the level of crowd noise in the background-best audio of the tour so far-albeit the odd moment here and there when you'll notice the drums sounding a bitsoft and sloppy in the mix, such as the start of (the best ever version of) vertigo.
Overall:
Generally, a worthy partner to a great night at Sheffield: Breathe, the unforgettable fire, crazy tonight, sunday bloody sunday, vertigo, streets, ultraviolet and with or without you....the whole damned thing is crazy good!
This review is written by waynus1884 and written on 2009-08-24 01:07 pm.
Performance:
Superb. They were loving it as much as us!! 10/10
Audience:
I sat at the other 3 shows I went to, but stood at Don Valley. We were all on top form, everybody havin' a great time. Just one of the best shows...didn't want it to end.
Sound:
One of the best (if not THE BEST) recordings around. Just fantastic quality. I played it all the way down to Cardiff.
Overall:
Lows - NONE
Highs - All of it, but that guitar intro to Vertigo, I can't get it out my head

Lows ? none at all - Highlights ? The Whole show, all the NLOTH songs, including Boots came over brilliantly live, up until the show wasn't a fan of Boots, but live it totally won me over, Magnificent got to be one of the most powerful U2 songs ever, I was stood approx. 10 metres from front right leg of claw, close to a group of approx 100-150 tanked up lads, was wondering whether to move before show started, glad I didn't they never stopped bouncing up & down all night, singing every word to every song, just added all the more to great atmosphere, & great show, took my 15 year old son to show, he went to glastonbury this year, kept saying to me U2 probably won't be as good until show, afterwards he said " thats definetly the best night of my life, completely blew glasto to pieces" from my point of view, I never thought I'd see anything come close to ZOOTV, well after Thursday I've seen its match, totally F***ING show, & this bootleg is a fantastic reminder, THANKS!!!!!

Performance:
Pessoal, sou fã do U2 desde 1988 e ja vi e escutei vários shows desta banda maravilhosa. Defendo que o set list seja revisto, que incluam outras músicas como: Acrobat, The Fly, Kite, Rejoice, Love is Blindness, Stand up Comedy, FEZ e outras.

Performance:
The band sound great,Bono is into it..his voice is a bit rough but he sounds good and the band is tight. This is the second to last gig of the Euro tour so they are on.Walk On sounds great.Im glad they brought this one back.I really feel its time to drop Pride,Sunday,Beautiful Day,Mysterious Ways..I know they are great songs but its a greatest hits show.Bullet is finally gone ,great song but overplayed in the setlist of years past.Same with Streets..Guys,mix up the setlist. And I dont mean by playing 2 different songs every other night.Open with a different song..Keep the tour fresh.U2 have so many great, great songs.Drop songs, pick up new ones like Bruce,DMB and Pearl Jam do.Gloria,Stories For Boys,A Sort Of Homecoming,Exit,So Cruel,MOFO,Kite,Hands That Built America,Original or Sometimes from Bomb.I would rather hear mixed in with a few overplayed classics. Its like seeing the Rolling Stones play Satisfaction.....AGAIN.
Audience:
Cant really hear the audience..but I have seen a few VIDEO clips of this show and they were going wild.
Sound:
Fantastic..its a bbc broadcast so it sounds like a release. You can even hear edges vocals clearly..drums and bass are clear..a great broadcast..they (the bbc)didnt cut out any songs like they did from the London gig that the bbc broadcast on 06.18.05.This is a great show........
Overall:
Highlights sound is great,I like the setlist.New songs sound better LIVE.I would like to hear White As Snow,Cedars, and Fez from the NEW disc.Too bad Electrical Storm wasnt played this night.Very solid show.Lowlights :As usual ,they play 90% of the same songs each night,I wish they would mix it up more,I have been saying this since The Unforgettable Fire tour,PLEASE mix it up.They must get bored opening with the same 5 songs and closing with the same 3 EVERY show, as they did on the European leg.Pearl Jam and Dave Matthews Band play diff sets each night.....thats my only slight with the tour so far.On the Vertigo tour the band DID mix it up alot.Love and Peace,Vertigo,And Blinding Lights all opened shows during the tour.Im seeing the band both nights at Giants Stadium.I pray I dont get the same 5 tunes to open the show and the same 3 to close the gig BOTH nights. This tour reminds me of Zoo TV and PoP.The setlists on those 2 tours really didnt change at all during the tour.Bruce Springsteen has said if he had to play the same setlist everynight it would be boring for him,his band, and the fans who see him more than one night.Anyway.I love this show for the New songs and The Unforgettable Fire............Cheers

Performance:
Well, where to start. The band seemed to have much fun that night. Great speeches (especially that A-level thing), solid performances (particularly No Line, Still Haven't Found, Unknown Caller, The Unforgettable Fire and Ultraviolet). Bono does not sound that good at times but overall the man does a good job, like the rest of the band.
Audience:
One of the best crowds of the tour. Hear them sing during Still Haven't Found and Crazy Tonight!
Sound:
FM Broadcast, so 5 stars. Somehow the sound of the broadcast reminds me of the PopMart Leeds gig.
Overall:
Memorable gig, probably the best of the European leg. Certainly on of the better nights over the last years. Highlights are the performances I already mentioned and the speeches, like the one about a building called Edge. And of course the singing for Willie Williams makes it a birthday to remember for him. It really does remind me on one of my favourite concerts ever: PopMart Leeds.

Fantastic! And one of the best I've heard from them.
Audience:
I should have been there!
Sound:
One of the best U2 mp3 live bootleg quality.
Overall:
Not low, but only highlights. Fantastic new way of the song selection. It's not the past ten year's conception with the old and older songs. It's a new way.

Great concert with standout versions of Unknown Caller and Ultra Violet. Also worth listening for Breathe, No Line on the horizon and a superb and very rare Unforgettable Fire. Great to see UF on a U2 tour after so many years. What makes this bootleg even better is that I was there and so its a great memento!

Performance:
The band was on top of everything tonight.
No mess ups that would make this anything less than a 5 star rating
Audience:
This was interesting to rate, because the fact that this was a radio broadcast meant that the audience would obviously seem to be less of a factor in the bootleg, but I was pleasantly surprised to hear nice responses from them
Sound:
Radio broadcast. Doesn't get anything better
Overall:
Excellent bootleg, a must have!
Highlights - well everything was excellent, from the beginning of breathe to the last notes of moment of surrender. the radio commentary at the end of the bootleg somewhat takes away from the mood set by an amazing performance of MoS.
Also, Sunday Bloody Sunday really stood out to me simply because they used a different snippet! I know that johnny was a good man and rock the casbah are great snippets to add, but this one really stood out to me. way to keep things fresh.

Performance:
The band are on top form and are ready to give the crowd one of the first legs best shows
Audience:
The audience are very enthusiastic and having the time of their lives
Sound:
The sound is absolutley brilliant and i think U2 should release this on a CD. You can hear the whole band well and you can hear the crowd. Brilliant
Overall:
One of the best shows along with the Dublin Shows and Barcelona and Milan shows.
Highs -
No Line On The Horizon - One of the best performances
Get On Your Boots - Better than some of the Promo Tour versions
Unknown Caller - I love the way this version ends
The Unforgettable Fire - Brilliant
Crazy Tonight Remix - The best live version of the remix
Mysterious Ways - I think they should close the main set with this more often
Get the Q radio broadcast. You won't be dissapointed

Performance:
perfect performance of the guys. mistakes were small, but there always are. bono sings with all his might, the edge is okay, as usual. adam is the most benefited in this gig, but not larry, who sounds a bit overwhelmed by his peers on several occasions.
Audience:
great audience. they accompanied the band at all times.
Sound:
radio broadcast quality. perfect, very clear and loud sound.
Overall:
I think this is the best boot of the 2009's tour. my favourite gig along with milano1.
highlights, well all the show is a highlight, but I put my favourites moments:
magnificent, pretty good version.
the unforgettable fire, the guys make justice for this epic song. the best of the show.
vertigo, the intro is amazing.
sunday blooy sunday, the mullen's entry breaks the ground.
ultraviolet, dramatic performance of bono. I love it.
lowlights:
where are space odity and kingdom? I miss those very much ; )

Performance:
The band performed great, I really love the way the 360 tour is arranged, I think that in general throughout the tour the band has played great and the live performances of the new songs have made them grow on me and have greatly increased my appreciation for them. Bono sounds really good and he is humorous throughout the show. His speech about A-levels is hilarious and it being Willie Williams' birthday in his hometown is cool and makes the show special.
Audience:
The audience is really good, energetic and fun.
Sound:
GREAT!! I have been trying to find a good clear recording from this tour (so i can listen to it in the car) and this did not disappoint!
Overall:
Great show, good example of the spirit of the tour. Highlights would be NLOTH which sounds great live, 'Boots,' which also comes alive when they play it live (they should have began the song with "let me in the sound" on the album too), 'Unknown Caller,' the arrangement of 'Beautiful Day' is really cool on this tour, 'Crazy Tonight', 'Ultraviolet' all good. The only complaint is that the recording starts with 'Breathe' with no 'Kingdom'. I really just want to find a recording that sounds as good as this, with the full show opening of 'Space Oddity' and 'Kingdom' since that was epic!

This was an excellent show. Everyone was talking about how good it was so I had to download it. I think every song was enjoyable but certain songs shined in this concert. Download instantly!
Audience:
The audience were amazing. Shouting all the time. Singing all the time.
Sound:
It was broadcast on radio and it was remastered. The sound was probably the best I've ever heard in a bootleg ever.

Epic gig. Everything comes together and makes it amazing. The performance is brilliant, audience were really good and the sound was the best part. Download now!

I first acquired the bootleg titled:
TV / Radio broadcast recording (MP3) - All I Need (Rune)
My only complaint concerns Moment Of Surrender.
The last 3 minutes are radio stuff that I don’t know how to delete.
I then acquired the bootleg titled:
TV / Radio broadcast recording (MP3) - MyPetWookie
Its audio file of Moment Of Surrender STILL has 45 seconds of radio stuff.
I finally acquired the bootleg titled:
TV / Radio broadcast recording (MP3) - RSDundee - Noiseless Remaster
Its audio file of Moment Of Surrender ends WITHOUT the radio stuff.
I only need one live version. This version meets that need.

TV / Radio broadcast recording (MP3) - RSDundee - Noiseless Remaster
Most people seem to agree the Sheffield FM was the worst broadcast of all times resulting in an unlistenable boot. As the show was compressed as hell, not much room for improvement was left. But I tried to achieve something anyway. Please note: as there wasn't much to win, I didn't waste my time on fancy song by song reworking, I just took the complete show and gave it a quick on-the-fly treatment. I do consider it being an upgrade nevertheless.
I was so excited to see U2 play in my home county of Yorkshire for the first time since Popmart!
Here, I was to the left of the stage, inbetween the left side front claw and the main double tierd stand.
The audience around me was very chilled, not the manic audiences I have recently experienced in Dublin and London. The sound wasnt quite as loud to the side as I have exprienced to the front and under the claw.
I have eq'd the bass right down on this one. And why have they suddenly, after 17 years, suddenly slightly altered the chorus to UV??!
I hope this is a nice companion to the radio broadcast.
