Performance

They seem excited and play really well, albeit with a few mistakes. However, I can't really say it's truly exceptional for ZooTV material...

Bono sings parts of 'The Fly' differently. He changes the lyric in 'Tryin' To Throw Your Arms' and messes up his timing late in the song and apologises (it's still a really good version).

Edge is really good throughout; he really shines on the lengthy outro to 'Who's Gonna Ride' it sounds like he messes up late in 'Tryin' To Throw Your Arms' and in 'Satellite of Love.' 'Bullet the Blue Sky' sounds a bit different than usual. 'Love Is Blindness' sounds somewhat more like the album version than many of the lengthy live performances like Kiel and Dublin, with a shorter, less distorted solo.

The full band version (with Larry and Edge singing) of 'Dirty Old Town' is nice to hear.

Not many snippets/shorts during this show - 'Unchained Melody' and 'Can't Help Falling In Love' are both absent, and there's no 'Love To Love You' in 'Mysterious Ways.' However, the 'Bad/All I Want Is You' medley has a longer 'All I Want Is You' segment than usual and the 'shine like stars' verse is present and correct in 'With or Without You'.

Sound

Fluctuates but generally isn't terrific. At some points it's probably 4 stars, but at others (like early in 'Angel of Harlem') it drops to probably 2.5 stars. It's kind of tinny and muddled sounding.
Recording: "In Boston on St Patricks Day" - 3.5 stars

Audience

The audience are very enthusiastic, singing and cheering with a lot of heart.

Overall

Overall, a strong show, but that's pretty much par for the course on ZooTV. While quite good, it's by no means the best of this tour. The sound is kind of dodgy too.

- Until the End of the World
- Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses (one of the best versions, with an extended outro)
- Dirty Old Town
- Van Diemen's Land
