1. We learned yesterday that filehost Rapidshare will close its doors forever soon:

Pioneering file hosting service RapidShare is shutting down by the end of next month, according to a notice posted on the service’s website that was first reported by Torrrentfreak. The notice reads, in part:

“We strongly recommend all customers to secure their data. After March 31st, 2015 all accounts will no longer be accessible and will be deleted automatically.”
As you might know U2start relied heavily on filehost Rapidshare from its early days, when we used Rapidshare almost exclusively for offering downloads of U2 bootlegs.

Since U2start has anticipated this to happen for a long time, we began uploading new bootlegs to filehosts such as Mediafire and Mega. Also we started an internal project to mirror all our shows that relied on Rapidshare to other filehosts. This project, which lasted quite some time, ended two weeks ago.

This means that at this moment, there is not a single show that will be unavailable for download when Rapidshare closes its doors. There will be some sources that will not have download links, but we will do our utmost best to replace those soon as well.

U2start is very grateful for Rapidshares' reliable service over the past 8 years, and regrets that more than 100 GB of files that we host there now will disappear. But where services go, new services will come. Viva U2!
