    Comments on this show
A fantastic show in the early days of ZooTV with a fantastic audio and video bootleg. The show has some great performances and snippets and the audience is very loud, which you can hear very good in the bootleg. This is a must-have in your collection and a very good warm-up to the upcoming U2 tour.

We encourage you to listen to this show this month and write your own review, the more, the better. Enjoy!

  2. I love everything about this show: The passion the band put into the songs, the nonsense approach (no switching channels, no phone calls, etc.), the awkward Cindy Lauper snippet, the crowd incredibly loud, singing Happy Birthday to Bono long after the concert is over, the screw-ups by Bono and the crowd covering his ass in ISHFWILF, the Shine Like Stars snippet in WOWY, the incredible solo in LIB and the speech by Bono saying he will never forget this, etc.

One of my go to shows when I'm in the mood for ZooTV.
  3. The first concert I ever burnt to DVD Fond memories of watching this and the previous Paris bootlegs over and over and over again... It's a great show, César has described it well. This show has all the greatness of the famous concerts like Washington, Sydney or Dublin condensed into a less spectacle and more rock and roll show. 100% recommended
  4. Better then Ahoy Rotterdam 1992?
I'm curious! going to listen to this one for sure!
  5. Excellent choice! I have a special place in my heart for this show.

Gent '92 is what made me realize that sometimes there is magic in an audience recording that can't be captured on a soundboard or even a broadcast.

    Two standout moments for me:

1.) Zoo Station - 0:10-0:20 the crowd yelling in sync with the rhythm. The first time I heard this, I thought, “Oh shit, this show is gonna be GOOD. I’m glad I downloaded this one.”

2.) Pride - 2:00-2:30 the audience shouting “Love!” (which gradually turns into “Hey!”) during the "Early morning, April 4" verse. Then the crowd drowns out the band at 2:40 for “oh oh-oh oh”
  6. The crowd was doing their own show. Also, a "snippet" of 40 by the crowd after ISHWILF, and great interaction during Mysterious Ways. Fantastic One too.
  7. Word of advice: if you're adding the show to your ipod, there are gaps between songs. If you go to iTunes, choose the songs (one by one) right click, "Get Info" and then go to options, you change the Start/Stop times of the song. Just choose to start and stop 300 ms after/before the actual start/end of the song and with that, the songs will play seamlessly. It's just a matter of fine tuning with the times.
  8. Damnit, my backyard... Shame I've missed, while I was 2 years old already.

    Very well said, Ed

Pride is brilliant. ANd couldn't agree more about the sounboards vs audience recordings
  10. I think I've just discovered my favorite boot of all time!!
  11. Great! That's why we have the Show of the Month, to shine a light on hidden jewels.
  12. Rotterdam 92 is another excellent show, I wouldn't dare to compare them. But Gent has Ultraviolet
