As you can read in more detail in our slideshow U2 and B.B. King: The Mayor of Lovetown this is the first show where U2 and B.B. would perform together, and When Love Comes To Town makes its live debut. It is performed with B.B. King and features additional lyrics not present in any other performance or the studio version. Portions of this song from both the soundcheck and actual concert are included in the Rattle And Hum movie. It's an amazing show with many highlights such as Exit, a version which lasts more than 6 minutes. As one of our reviewers noted: you can't miss this one.

We encourage you to listen to this show this month and write your own review, the more, the better. Enjoy!

  2. I'm amazed by the streak of truly amazing shows U2 did in the 3rd leg. They did Los Angeles, Austin and these 2 shows in Fort Worth. All of them memorable shows, and all of them with recent and better sources in our show pages! The 2 Fort Worth shows have been now Shows of the Month, and deservedly so. Check Bono's rant during Bullet. He went bananas over rev. Jerry Fogwell this time. Our newest source has Bullet in full, btw. The crowd went nuts with BB King and the debut of WLCTT.
  3. ...and now I want them to play Gloria even more than I did before...
  4. Wrote my review, is very good show
  5. One of the best (Joshua Tree) show you can find. Bullet, exit, Running, Bad, 40.

    I love the JT tour.
  6. Gorgeous performance of RTSS.
  7. Awesome show !! I love the WLCTT long outro !
  8. I listened to this boot for the first time yesterday and all I can say is WOW!

Loved Bono's rant during BTBS. This should have been on Rattle and Hum instead of "the god I believe in isn't short of cash mister" one .

Bono was killing it those days. One day he went after Jerry Fogwell, the previous show he ranted about Reagan's invasion policies and compared the US to a bully. Love the 3rd Leg of the JT tour.

I love that you refer to Jerry Falwell as Fogwell, lol

What's your favorite boot from the 3rd leg?
  11. LOL, that was my mistake . I only know of him from the People vs. Larry Flint movie. I'll edit my review.
I can't pick a favorite. Too many to chose from: The Boston, Foxboro, New York 9/28, Rosemont 10/28, Denver 11/07, Oakland 11/15, LA 11/18, Austin, Fort Worth and the last 2 Tempe shows are all great.
