my knowledge doesn't extend much past their best of compilation, but they're a great band for sure. they had some classic singles and don't get talked about enough.

LOVE JAMES, my other favorite band. Saw them in 2012 on their North American promo tour. Great people, great fans, it was just great. It let me catch up for all the tours before I had missed.
La Petite Mort their album released late 2014 is an album that takes a couple listens to appreciate. Tim Booth's Mom died from Cancer while writing the songs. 'On My Way (Moving On)' and 'All I'm Saying' are about her. They are for me just as much as it is for him. We lost our Moms the same way. 'On My way' is JAMES' 'Iris (Hold Me Close)'. It will bring tears if you delve on its words too long.
The songs translate extremely well live. Mark Hunter is an amazing piano/keyboard player. Andy Diagram's trumpet harkens back to 'Heavens' (which I saw live- oh my!) off the Seven album. Powerful stuff.
