1. There is a new You Too, you can vote for this new poll on the frontpage and discuss it in this thread.

The question of this new You Too is:

Which of the regularly played Songs of Innocence tracks has impressed you the most live?
    - The Miracle (Of Joey Ramone)
    - Iris (Hold Me Close)
    - Cedarwood Road
    - Song For Someone
    - Raised By Wolves
    - Every Breaking Wave

Please vote on the frontpage of the website, in this topic you can tell us why you voted for your answer.
  2. Raised By Wolves absolutly
  3. Raised By Wolves is a cool song, but the impressive stuff live is the stuff surrounding the performance. The VERY powerful transition, the visuals, Bono and the books, COMFORT MEEEEEEE....

The song that has impressed me the most live would either be Iris or The Miracle. Songs that I felt were so-so on the album that really hammered themselves home during the live set.

I think, for this question, I have to select Iris.
  4. I already had high hopes for most songs (RBW, Cedarwood, California), so the song that has actually impressed me based on my expectations is Iris. There's no point discussing the most disappointing.

that s the diference... i like both originals and Iris worked better live than Miracle. All new songs work good live

    My rank is :

    1- RBW
    2-Iris / California/ Volcano / Troubles
    3- CR
    4- Miracle
    5- SFS/ EBW
  6. iris for me

Why? Because everyone thinks its EBW ?
  8. It's a shame EBW degraded from being the best album song to the worst live song.
  9. Wolves for me.

    Spoiler (click to toggle)
Every Breaking Wave has its charm in its acoustic form. Its a very different vibe than what we could've expected from the studio version, but it's still good. But it's hardly impressive.

I didn't have really high expectations for Miracle, Song For Someone or even Iris, and they have been way better than what I expected them to be. I think those are the ones that have improved the most live compared to the studio versions.

But Cedarwood and Wolves are even more impressive than the rest.
Cedarwood (clearly my favourite in the album) is as awesome as it was supposed to be, although for me Wolves wins the prize.

Not only is way darker than in the studio version (the intro of the song in the album sounds to me a bit "happy"), but the whole context in which it's placed really puts this song in a different league, from the 6 o'clock news, to the explotions, to the "I don't believe anymore", the book ripping, and the confort me (and even the 1385wz ).

  10. I don't think thats necessarily true. I actually quite enjoy what the live version of EBW has tried to do. The bigger issue I have is that SFS/Cedarwood are NO different from the studio versions. They're plug-ins.

EBW has a couple kinks, but I love how its been rearranged.

Aside from that, RBW and Iris have been great
