Tour: Innocence and Experience tour
Songs played: 29
Audio recordings: 3
  1. So, what's different about this broadcast that allows us to have the audio hosted here?
  2. What's different? Nothing as far as I'm concerned.
  3. Nothing much. Passage of time and sources popping up on free to air broadcasts have allowed for a more relaxed approach.
  4. Fair enough. Does that mean I can upload my torrent of Paris 3's audio?
  5. Correction to my earlier post:

No you can't, as that has not aired on a public broadcasting network. Which is also why it was banned on Dime before. Let's try to not push things Maybe soon, but for now let's be careful.
  6. No, it wasn't...

It was shared on dime as flac.

But things are not converted to FLAC. FLAC - Free Lossless Audio Codec - is, as I understand it,
merely an encoding that allows for lossless compression of digital audio.
Data compression, that is, without "loss" of data, so to say.
So, theoretically it should also prevent lossy audio for even more "loss."
  7. I just saw Elevation for the first time. That was uncomfortable.

  8. No the source is lossy, check the original audio streams:

Yep see Joyce's reply who corrected me already

  10. Arguably the most embarrassing moment moment of U2 I have ever seen. It is strange that it happened during one of the best concerts on one of their best tours. Generally all the artificial staged fan bits during this tour were super weak, but they brought it to a whole new level for the HBO.
I don't get it - I really like pretty much everything else about this current tour, but how come they don't see how ridiculous this is? All the girls from all the 3 pro-shots simply ruin every song they appear on. When I watched the COBL from the 11/11 I turned my eyes away from the TV - I felt so sorry for that poor boy who was completely lost on the stage an didn't know what to do most of the time (because there was NOTHING to do - not his fault really). I still haven't seen the COBL from the 07/12, I am almost scared to do so. The best fan on the stage is by far the one on One from the 11/11.
Anyway - cut the Elevation, COBL and Mysterious Ways (what a waste of a great song, but that tattooed girl really ruins it), put in Out Of Control and Ordinary Love and we will have an amazing DVD, which I would be able to play from the beginning till the end without turning red by embarrassment.

It's the only thing I really cannot stand about the tour
