1. It gives us great pleasure to let you know that the final episode (Rattle and Hum) of Season 1 of RevU2 is now available via Soundcloud and iTunes. We’ve come to end of something here but we’ll be back with Season 2 soon. We’ve really appreciated seeing on the stats that U2start members have been listening to (or at very least have been directed to) the podcast via the forum – it’s a lovely community here

    https://soundcloud.com/revu2/revu2-rattle-and-hum

    This week:
-RevU2 follows the band’s lead and invites a special guest, recording their longest podcast yet.
-The Edge slides down a small hill.
-And B. B. King lets us all know just how good he is at chords.

It would be great to get further feedback for the next season and future episodes. While we have a fairly clear path set out with the remaining studio albums, we’re in the process of working out where to go from here, so suggestions and feedback are welcome, as always either on here or directly via revu2contact@gmail). Cheers
  2. Longest review for the longest album so far, makes all the sense Will listen later today if I have the time, if not, next week Thanks once again guys!
  3. Hello all, just a quick message to say that Season 2 of RevU2 is currently being cooked up and it shouldn’t be too long until Episode 7: Achtung Baby arrives.

In the meantime, we’ve been really appreciating the continued listens from all around the world and have just put out a short introduction podcast for anyone new to the show. Thanks to everyone who’s already listened from U2Start! Find us, as always, at: https://soundcloud.com/revu2
  4. Hello, hello and Achtung y’all!

Season 2 of RevU2 has officially begun. For the next six weeks we’ll be reviewU2ing our way through the 90s and 00s, discussing some of the band’s most (and least) acclaimed albums.

    This week:
    - U2 take a neon axe to their monochrome past.
    - The Dublin boys go on a make or break trip to Berlin.
    - And Tyler and Jonny lose themselves in the gritty city of Achtung Baby (then discuss the hangover).

Once again, it’s much appreciated that so many U2 fans are finding the podcast via U2start.com and are happy to listen to our album rambles. Please feel free to spread the word, rate us on iTunes etc. or leave us a comment on here (it’s always good to hear The Feedback).

  5. Hey all, Season 2 continues with Zooropa!

    This week:
-The Irish lads dream out loud about lemons
-The Edge gets his capable hands on a production credit
-And a Bono and Bukowski anecdote goes badly off the rails.

As always you can listen on iTunes and Soundcloud. Do let us know what you think of the album and the show, feel free to share, join the FB group and rate etc. We hope you like it https://soundcloud.com/revu2/episode-8-zooropa
  6. BOOM-CHA! Season 2 continues and we have finally got to Tyler’s favourite album: Pop

    This week:
    - U2 vies with young talent and a fresh music scene.
    - The band smuggle tough theological theories inside a postmodern pop package.
    - Jonny and Tyler ask the listeners for help with a long, long disputed lyric.

The above is the general show info but the last point concerning the disputed lyric has been a long-running debate between us and we’d especially like to hear other fans theories about what Edge is singing in the Mofo verses (discussion of this starts at 39:25).

As always you can listen on iTunes and Soundcloud. Do let us know what you think of the album and the show, feel free to share, join the FB group, rate, review etc. Cheers! https://soundcloud.com/revu2/episode-9-pop
  7. Hello again, RevU2 returns and the 00s take off with All That You Can’t Leave Behind.

    This week:
    - U2 shed the irony and return with at least half a dozen classic songs.
    - The album acquires deeper resonance as a violent decade begins to unfold.
    - And there are mistaken lyrics a plenty as hearing aids are contemplated.

Thanks to all for listening, do feel free to share and send us your feedback/suggestions for the show. ATYCLB always seems to be a somewhat divisive album and we’d love to hear your thoughts.

Listen via Soundcloud or iTunes as usual.

  8. Hey all, the How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb episode of RevU2 is here.

    On this week's show:
    - How much have the band aged?
    - What could be better than the smell of a new born baby's head?
    - And Jonny once again resurrects jokes from episode one!

Tune in via Soundcloud or iTunes and free feel to contact us via revu2contact@gmail.com. Cheers all!

  9. Hey guys, this week we’re buckling up our boots for No Line On The Horizon!

    In which:
    - U2 decamp to Fez and attempt to soak up some Moroccan vibes.
    - Producers come and go as fans wait with baited breath (or should that be Breathe?).
    - And things get meta as there are audio issues for both U2 and RevU2.

This has been a really interesting one to discuss and we were often at loggerheads about just how magnificent this album is (or isn't), so feel free to share, comment and join in with our conversation.

Listen via iTunes or the SoundCloud link below, cheers!

  10. Hello and best of the season to all!

We've just released our Christmas Special, a shorter episode in which we discuss the band's most festive moments (you can probably guess them all) and why we like and dislike Christmas songs in general. There's also a surprise for Tyler at the end (during which Jonny gets Betty's name wrong and is eternally repentant).

Thanks again to everyone listening and the warmest of festive wishes to all.
