We all know U2gigs' fantastic tour stats page with a lot (although somehow "automatized") of interesting stats. Our friend Pau has been compiling these kind of stats manually, on his own, since quite a few years ago, and this is the updated list including the I&E Tour. Some very interesting data in there.

Wonder how these stats will change after the Joshua Tree 30 Years tour...

PS. Excuse any translation or coherence mistake, it was an awful lot to look at
  2. interesting list! thanks for sharing and to the OP for compiling.

strange to see 11'Clock ranked so high on the most played songs, so many early performances ha. how many times has it been played since, say, 1987, do we know?

11OCTT stopped being a setlist staple in 1985. Since then, it has been played just 13 times: 1987-12-12 - Hampton, 1989-12-30 - Dublin, 1990-01-10 - Rotterdam, 2000-12-05 - New York, 2001-02-07 - London, 7 Elevation tours and The Roxy 2015.
  4. cheers fellas, knew I could count on you haha
  5. I love these statistics!

funny to see that the I+E tour (which was supposed to be the tour that would give U2 more freedom in randomly choosing songs from their backcatalog) has in fact more 'untouchables' then the POPmart tour...

Yes, that's what we criticised while the tour was going on. Longer residencies in many cities, splitting the shows in two halves, playing arenas and so many song slots to be played in the B stage clearly allowed for a bigger setlist variation, and yet we had a smaller setlist variation. It's just so crazy
  7. One interesting thing I notice it's in the "SECTION I: SONGS PLAYED AT LEAST ONCE IN ALL TOURS SINCE THEIR RELEASE.":

No Line On The Horizon is "just" an 8 years old album and just one song in this section, while The Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby still have 3... and even The Unforgettable Fire still have 2
  8. Wow great list'!
  9. Awesome, thanks for sharing this

and even then, it was just a couple of token runs through of Magnificent.

NLOTH has been given the same treatment as any U2 album that isn't a resounding success (see: Pop) - it's been dropped from setlists and swept under the rug.

to say they're (IMO) the greatest band ever to grace the earth, they're so insecure about their own legacy. it's sad how they have this need to be untouchable and to whitewash everything all the time.

not to crap on the I+E tour (i think it was phenomenal overall, and a sensible follow-up to 360) but i hope next time they show it a bit more love; MoS is worthy of at least rotating and Boots can still be good fun live.

I could not have said it better myself. Low self-confidence is such a sad thing....
