1. If TJT didn’t come out in the 80s, what decade would it fit in?

I’ve been listening to TJT closely and have not done that in a very long time. A discussion with my buddy’s daughter about how it doesn’t sound like an eighties album compelled me to really think about it. There is something strange and un-eighties about it. I guess that’s one of the things makes it so awesome. But it made me wonder: if it didn’t come out in the eighties, what decade would it belong?

I wrote post about it and would love to know what others think. Thank you!

  2. You mean inside U2's discography or in general?
  3. Definitely not the 1990s.

    Either late-1960s or early-2000s.
  4. Inside U2's discography: around No Line On The Horizon.
  5. It would have been released in 1971... The ultimate year for epic album releases and would have fitted in wonderfully.
    Great albums, eternal music by:
    The Who
    The Stones
    David Bowie
    George Harrison
    Stevie Wonder
    Rod Stewart and The Faces
    Carole King
    James Taylor
    Joni Mitchell
    The Doors
    Led Zeppelin
    Nick Drake
    Deep Purple
    Marvin Gaye...etc.!
  6. Interesting, but I would have to agree. It doesn't sound like it would fit in the 90s, either. Late 60s or early-2000s makes sense.
