1. to all who have attended a JT2017 show, what are the best seats to get? standing?

    thanks.
  2. I haven't been yet, but I can tell you from past experience the GA are the cheapest AND best seats in the house. Period. Unless you have (or are going with someone) who has trouble standing for a few hours, I would say there is no other way to go!
  3. i agree....stand up and dance. GA is great and Red Zone is great too where you have more space to move around and usually a bar set up right there for you.
  4. +3

I was just outside the heart in 2001 and that was great but i was not sure with this configuration
  6. I was in section 433 at Soldier Field in Chicago, so pretty high up but with a great view of the full stage and the b-stage "tree" that juts out into the field.

Next month in Cleveland I'm doing GA, though, and based on my view of the field in Chicago, I know where I want to try and find a spot...

...right by the b-stage tree, because that's where the band starts the show with the first four songs!
  7. I probably won't ever do GA in a football stadium ever again. Arenas, every time - but I could hardly see anything in the jam-packed GA crowd at Soldier Field.

Waited like 12 hours in line for the 360 Tour GA pit and it was worth it, but frankly I don't have that kind of time anymore. Was way easier to just get great seats, and I had plenty of room to dance in them!
  8. My best picture from when they were on the Bstage, while I was in GA:

A great view, sure, but that was for a split second with many heads in front of us (and I'm tall) - and honestly, no room whatsoever to dance. Packed like sardines.

My view from our seats the next night:

Much preferred these. Only paid $90 apiece, whereas I think GA were $70. Easy upgrade.

What time did you get there for GA? Was it that packed for opener?

If you moved back 20 yards for there did it open up a little?
  10. I got there about a half hour after doors, but figured since there was SO much rail space considering the entire length of the catwalk and B-stage, we'd be fine. We really weren't far from the B stage at all, but when they were on the main, they were very tiny.

No room in the crowd to back up or move at all - if you check out that night 2 picture and look at the GA crowd, it was at least that packed on night one - almost all the way back. We ended up going far, far to the left side after awhile, and finding a patch big enough to actually dance a little bit in. Was still hard at some points to see the stage, but way more enjoyable to have our space.

Thanks for the info. Good to know. Was planning on finding spot close to end of b-stage during opening act and just hanging there for show opening and snapping a few pics, then get lost and just absorb it all. If south Florida crowds are at all like I remember them, it'll be easy to slide right in at peak position on b-side a few minutes before opener... the positive, prime position, the negative, i'm stuck there for one republic.
  12. Yeah, my plan was to wait for side one of JT to be over, and then move so we could get a better view for side two... I was so nervous about not finding another good spot, we stuck it out in the dead middle of the crowd until the album was over. Made our way to the left during the end of Mothers, and found a great pocket all the way against the side wall where we could swing around a little!
