    That would be brilliant.

I once saw one of my favorite Spanish bands (Vetusta Morla) do a show like this:

    5 strictly acoustic songs
    +
    13 songs with an orchestra
    +
4 songs in standard electric format

And, let me tell you, it was fucking mindblowing. The difference is that it was a 1,500 people theatre instead of a 15,000 people arena An arena would be bored halfway through the orchestra set and it wouldn't work that well for U2. But a more balanced set, like [7 acoustic + 9 orchestra + 8 electric] would work beautifully for them (and for us).
  2. Elevation with an orchestra would be interesting.

You're right about 2001 acoustic versoin of Please... just the Baltimore one was great (electric full band - sadly there is not good sounding bootleg). But single version has some strings in at the start and the end and during the soli together with the guitar could be good too. Definitely would depend on arrangements
I didn't know (or don't remember) about Baltimore being electric full band - will check it out! Thanks!

I am up for that completely. It can give their set a little push and
    energy that would be interesting!

Let's set up a meeting and
    tell the band our idea's
  5. Yes... first time on Elevation tour was full band electric and then they screw it witj acoustic performances
  6. If you type a setlist and it has Exit in it, the "post" button should automatically inactivate itself.

****Shots Fired**** though I somewhat agree
  9. Cos you're delusional or its rubbish (btw I think it's an amazing song and I do hold a teeeeny bit of hope for 2018)
  10. Here's what I came up with, taking into consideration the live staples U2 will definitely play, new material and a few rarities the hardcore fans will enjoy.

It's a long set, but U2 has played 27 songs before and some of these tracks are quick.

    2. The Blackout
    3. Vertigo
    4. I Will Follow
    5. New Year’s Day
    6. Lights of Home
    7. You’re the Best Thing About Me
    8. Get Out Of Your Own Way
    9. American Soul
    10. Mofo
    Intermission: Numb
    11. Desire [Hollywood Remix]

    14. Red Flag Day
    15. Sunday Bloody Sunday
    16. Love Is Blindness
    17. Pride (In the Name of Love)
    18. Beautiful Day
    19. The Little Things That Give You Away
    20. Love Is Bigger Than Anything In Its Way

    Encore:

    22. I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For
    23. With or Without You
