I don't think that the Musical will be released after Spring 2008... 
EDIT. By the way, is it absolutely true and confirmed? Is U2 going to do the Spiderman musical's songs? That'd be great, my brother is a die hard fan of Spider, I hope so he becomes a hard die fan of U2...

I believe that both will come out in 2008,
maybe the musical first and the album a few monthes after that..

I agree 100%, Noam. First musical, after new album, but both on 2008. Maybe album on November or December of 2007, but never before.

Yeah first musical cause that's just 1 song and the album are a lot more (i hope)
(Or are they going to make music for the WHOLE musical...? => i heard just the soundtrack...)

From what I have read the spiderman project is Bono and Edge only, possibly like the Clockwork Orange score from the early nineties. I would imagine any U2 album would be after that using soundtrack ideas developed into proper songs therefore allowing the band to experiment again. Therefore Spiderman might not get an official realease

I think it'll be the Spiderman musical. Simply because that's just one song, as BelgianBono said. But U2 also did the sountrack of Tomb Raider, wth Elevation. That movie cme out in June 2001. ATYCLB was released in fall 2000. So maybe they bring out the album first, who knows?

Yes, BUT Elevation (for a movie) was also a song on the album...
I don't think the song for a MUSICAL will be on the album

Maybe they bring out 2 albums, like the Peppers did. But I think it will take some more time if they do...
