1. After reading a bunch of topics and comments over the last fews I gotta ask...

Am I the only one who like The Playboy Mansion? I think its a fantastic song, one of the few ones on the album that sounds complete.

I love how it has that kind of a drifty-dreamy feel to it. At first you think the singer is singing about finding peace and reaching the gates of heaven but its revealed that really he's looking for a much shallower salvation and wants his sins abolished by success, not forgiveness.

I love it and I hope there's SOMEONE out there who feels the same way

No. I like it, too. There are better songs on the album, but it's a pretty cool track. Pretty relaxed music with lyrics open to a lot of interpretations.
  3. I love it, especially the line you're mentioning!

It's also cool as a Streets snippet.
  4. I love it to not a lot but love the guitar thats like drifting and sounds almost depressing throughout the whole song e
  5. I like it quite a bit too

    It's a Streets snippet?!

I wouldn't really call it a snippet. Bono just repeats "Then there will be no time for sorrow" a few times.

Then it really is a snippet, if he would've sung the whole song it's not a snippet anymore

To be counted as snippet something needs more than that. At least one full line + the melody.

Iif he asks the audience "Will you be back tomorrow?"; would you count that as snippet too?

If he asks it: no, if he sings it: yes!

One of the most short snippets was during the Vertigo Tour in Sweden, all he said was (in 1 sec.):
'If you wear that velvet dress'

After City Of Blinding Lights. It was counted as a snippet, it's however really debatable what can be counted as a snippet and what not. We leave that question for another day and thread
  11. Sorry guys, i hate it..... Maybe it's good as background when you're sunbathing while floating in a swimming pool, but that's just how Heffner wants it
  12. I hate it when you read about all these great snippets in setlists and these turn out to be nothing. My favourte snippet of the Vertigo Tour was 'Seven Seconds' before Yahweh ate the Copenhagen show
