    hi!!!!!
how are you my friend??? sorry i've not been here so often lately.... i'm still busy doing my exams.....
i just came online to see one of my marks, and couldn't go off to study again without passing by u2start..... i've got to be quick, cause i still have so much to do, but i just couldn't leave you without an answer!!

yes!! i already saw the movie!! last saturday actually...and i thought it was quite cool!! i have to admit that i'm a bigger fan of the books than the films, cause the plot line is always cut.... but this time i really think they did some bright cuts! order of the phoenix is such a big book...it would be impossible to see it all on one movie! but the special effects were great!!!
with this film people finally understand why this is not a kids' movie! and i'm so glad for it! it was a battle i had to struggle for some time though....

now i have to go!!! but i promise you i come back here and give you an insightfull view of the film!!!
by the way...did you see the movie??? what did you thought about it??? and how's the reading of the half blood prince?? i'm so sure you're loving it!!!

    bye rmann83!!!!
hope to talk to you soon!!!!!
  3. hi snitch
No need to apologize, you just go on doing what you need to do and come by the forums when you get a chance oh and u can call me raj, rmann83 is too awkard to say...

Yes I just saw the movie on Saturday too and I have to say I was a little disappointed. I mean the acting (as always) was spot on, specially the main three and Snape & Sirius. But SO much was cut out and changed! The movie was only two hours whereas all the other movies were 2 1/2+ It's the first time I've read one of the books BEFORE seeing the movie so I was surprised how quickly they were racing through it and making big changes. I mean they have yet to introduce Percy or Bill.

And worst of all, NO QUIDDITCH! Even after Ron makes the team I was really looking forward to that! That was always something the movie did better than the book, I thought...

But you are right, the special effects (especially the ending!) were incredible. And I'm always surprised with the chemistry between the 3, they are really good together And yes, its a lot darker and geared to an older crowd, I liked the gritty technique the director used as well, espesially at the start when they're running. It was like a horror movie!

You're absolutely right, i Am loving Half-Blood Prince!! I'm only a few chapters in but already so much is happening, I can't wait to jump into it again tonight

And hey good luck with your exams!! im sure your doin great
  4. hi again!!!
    just stoped by before dinner....

oh, i know what you mean...they really cut so much important things!!! but i already knew that....i knew, for instance, that the quidditch scenes would not make an appearance... i've been a fan for such a long time, and i've always read the books before seeing the movie.....so i'm used to notice that they left out so much stuff...and they just kind of rush everything up! for example, in globet of fire movie i was counting on a big quidditch scene, with the world cup and so, and felt really desappointed when they cut it right through, just giving us a glimpse!!!! another thing i didn't like was they made harry so calm in the end, when he's talking to dumbledore! i mean, that's a crucial scene! he's supposed to be all messed up at the end! they always soften it, and it doesn't make justice to the story.... that's what i think, though!

but it also has great stuff!!! at least we get to see some things we'd only imagined in our heads!!!! all the DA's sessions, the final battle.... and Umbridge's punishment!! i absolutely hate that woman!!! oh, and the twins....they just rock out!!!!! i wish they had explored ginny a lot more too... and tonks was cool too!!!!

about half blood prince, i've got to say that book keeps you with your mouth open from the start until the end.... it's always happening something!!! at every single page.... it's like, your trying to get back to what you just found out and then BANG, something incredible happens again!!! it's definitely my favorite book of all!

hope you have a great time reading..... now i'm waiting for the last one..... and i don't know if i want it to end! i've been reading these books since january 2000!!! it's kind of weird that it's almost over.... but i just can't wait to read the end....to understand what's left to understand, and almost certaily to get surprised at every moment..... that's the way jkr is.....

  5. I couldn't agree with you more! that end scene with harry taking out all his frustration out on dumbledore's office was extremely crucial and just disappeared in the movie! in fact, dumbledore altogether was very different. He's usually very funny, calm and caring in the book but in the movie seems very panicky and grumpy.

but your right, somethings have to be seen to appreciated. ppl like snape and sirius i think jump out more on the screen than the book. and the actress who played umbridge was fantastic!! that torture scene really made me flinch! and i like how they go more into whats happening between ron and hermione. so yeah, now that i've talked to someone about it, i actually feel a bit better about the movie. hopefully when the dvd comes out it will have deleted scenes!

Yes i know how you feel, its all coming to an end soon. but no one deserves that kind of success more than jkr. not only for her talent but also for her charity and generous spirit. i have a lot of admiration for her.

anyway thanks for answering i needed to get someone else's opinions on it and make sure i wasn't the only one who felt that way (my friend who's into harry potter has left the country at the moment).

thanks for listening and i'll be coming back to you after i finish the 6th one
  6. i hope there'll be deleted scenes too!!!! and i also agree with what you said about the movie.... it has some bright spots...and some things we would like to change... but that's how movies work really.... and it's really good to have some different opinion too!!! my two friends to whom i usuallly talk about it haven't seen the movie yet!! so it was great to have found you're a HP fan in a U2 world...

once again...enjoy your reading!!! i'll be waiting for your opinion on the 6th book!!!

    byebye my friend!!!
