    LINER NOTES
No traditional liner notes included in with this set released with The Complete U2: Digital Box Set.

    OTHER NOTES
It contains the complete set of U2 albums, extras extending the total to 446 songs - singles, live, rare and previously unreleased material - from 1978 to 2004. Retail price is $149.99, but a $50 coupon was included with U2 Special Edition iPods (those based on the fourth-generation iPod.) Newer U2 Special Edition iPods (with video - those based on the fifth-generation iPod) include a code redeemable for a 33-minute compliation of live performances and interviews with the band in lieu of the $50 coupon towards The Complete U2.

In 2004 Apple's iTunes store released a "Digital Box Set" of U2 Recordings entitled The Complete U2. The set was made available only through the iTunes music store for download. Included within the set were several rare recordings grouped as albums. These "Digital Albums" were accompanied by new artwork designed by Four5One, the creative design firm which has done most of U2's albums throughout the years. These cover images were released in an accompanying "PDF" file along with information about the full set of songs in the "Digital Box Set". It is not known at this time if Apple plans on releasing these "Digital Albums" separate from the box set - at this time they are only available when one purchases The Complete U2. The tracks could be downloaded in Apple's AAC format for compressed music.

The Unreleased & Rare album features several tracks that have never appeared on any other commercial U2 release. From the All That You Can't Leave Behind recording sessions we get the tracks "Levitate", "Flower Child" and "Love You Like Mad". From the How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb sessions we get the tracks "Smile", "Xanax and Wine", "Native Son" and alternate versions of "All Because of You", "Yahweh" and "Sometimes You Can't Make it On Your Own". From The Joshua Tree sessions we get the track "Beautiful Ghost / Introduction to Songs of Experience". The other songs appearing in this set have appeared on other recordings, and can be found in our By Songs section.

Several of these songs would eventually become other songs on releases. "Xanax and Wine" became "Fast Cars", and "Native Son" became "Vertigo" upon further work. Other songs have recognizable parts as well. The song "Beautiful Ghost" is an early instrumental track from 1987 which Bono reads William Blake's "Introduction to Songs of Experience" over top of.

Of course. You need to leave an email address for official material. Or if you don't want to mine is mofo.rockandroll@gmail.com

Live from Boston 1981, Live From The Point Depot and Early Demos are pretty easy to get as well which are part of the extra stuff you get with this set. If you don't have it (The Complete U2), it is highly recommended (I ordered an actual DVD off eBay with it all on with my iPod) and it is the best damn investment I have ever made because at the time I didn't have all the albums. But for the remixes with the set I couldn't care less.

    Thanks Drew!
  6. Oh, and I already have the other ones through bootlegs from here. But if they are better quality then could you send
    them to me?
  7. Probably not worth sending the others because the iTunes Store only ever had them in 128Kbps anyway which is what Boston and Lovetown were - so not worth it. The Early Demos I only ever had in 128Kbps as well and they will never sound any better.

All music except for the new store (which I have never bought from them and don't plan to) is encoded at 128Kbps and the new lot is more expensive at $1.30 a song for 256Kbps.

The rest is sent to you. Hope it went through.

Thanks Drew! You're awesome! I didn't think they would be any better because the bootleg versions of the them
are already pretty good. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't anything different. Thanks a lot. I've bought 40 songs from the
complete U2, but just singles since I own the CD's. Now I don't have to spend all that money on just one album that I don't own!
    Thanks again!
  9. I don't think you should have to pay extra for a bunch of demos. If I find any more stuff expect your inbox to have something in it!

O.K.! Not a problem with that! By the way the Joshua Tree outtakes you uploaded are awesome!
