Hi! I open this topic in order to have a place where you (we!) can discuss anything related to the politics.

I know many of you don't like or don't care about politics, but I think that when you complain about the underground tickets prices, you're getting into politics. This is the place to discuss it. You can complain about politicians, laws, global situations or your neighborhood issues.
But please keep it NICE here. This isn't a pub where you can insult and shout. This is a nice forum, with nice people in it. Thanks

i will begin.

What do you think about the War in Iraq? Do you support it, do you think it was neccesary or do you simply think it0's actually crap??

Like all poltics, I think the war in Iraq is bollocks.

I hate to say it because I know I'm going to be ridiculed for it, but I'm a republican. But I respect everybody's beliefs. I think at the time it was a great decision, but I don't think we're making any progress now. I think we can all agree that North Korea is the real country we need to be worrying about.

No. I've heard it's good. I'll have to watch it.

Hmm I think something had to be done about Saadam's regime. Its good that the regime collapsed after so many Iraqis became a victim to it. But know that that is over should troops pull out? or is their country too unstable at the moment and a civil war will occur.

I do think that the governement were looking for excuses to invade Iraq. Remember the issue about weapons of mass destruction which they never found.

I think the main issue is how the armed forces have dealt with it. There have been many cases of friendly fire, innocent iraqis being killed (remeber when a cruise missile hit an innocent wedding) and insuficient supplies of armour which has lead to many allied deaths.

There's so much corruption in the world at the moment. The situation in Zimbabwe, the corruption in the Russian governement with people poisoning each other.

it's certainly an eye opener. Any respect for Bush (or justification for his war) will just go out the window

I don't think the Iraqi government is stable enough. I'm afraid that if we pull out there would be all kinds of trouble.

I've heard all sorts of stuff. Conspiracy theories do my head in. Faranheit 9/11 seems at least to deal in mostly fact. It is very biased in the fact that it's very very anti-Bush but I can't help but think that the man is just a loony

Some of those conspiracy theories actually make sense though. My friend's sent my all kinds of links on it. It's very interesting.
