Safari is almost as bad as iTunes and QuickTime for multiple reasons. Firefox or Opera are ten times better - and Safari has issues with u2start and other sites - even Apple's own site doesn't display properly. A great example of crap quality control down at Apple.

Firefox is fast due to the Gecko rendering engine. It also lacks ActiveX (a backdoor for viruses, malware, spyware) to install, which Internet Explorer operates with, still, plus IE still uses the Trident engine, which hasn't been updated much since Windows 98, IE4 and still has too much code which slows it down. I also like all the plugins and themes it offers, some are very, very good.

Is that based on PC version of Safari Drew?
I have both Firefox and Safari installed (Mac) and have come back to Safari. For me it's cleaner and loads quicker. I have no issues with any websites, including this one. Firefox has lots of nice gimmicks, but ultimately I found it unfulfilling (note: have not yet tried version 3).

Question.....how is the iPhone?

I have an iPod Touch, so I'm guessing the only difference is that internet is unlimited, there's a camera, and oh yea. the phone bit. But my problem is that I don't like AT&T, plus I don't want to switch phone networks (i have T Mobile). What do I do?

don't get it. I've been reading terrible things about the battery life, 2 charges a day if your using it on 3G. I'm glad I didn't get it

That's what I chose to do. Always been dubious of loading too much into one gadget. That battery sounds horrible too....

I once cracked open my old 20gig iPod and I actually gasped at how small the battery was. 3 times smaller than the hard-drive and twice as small as the screen. I was amazed. Why don't the just shave a few mm of the hard-drive and give us a battery that can do the job?
