Handbrake question:
I'm trying to rip a version of "From the Sky Down," and the disc is in widescreen, but it rips in a cutoff 4x3 version. I tried several times to fix it, but it did it multiple times. When I get to the end credits, the words are cut off.
Normally, when I rip a DVD in Handbrake, I just select "High Profile" from the presets, and it rips in whatever format the disc was.....except this one. Any ideas? -
Is it cut off or squeezed? -
My N8 is acting up. It's been freezing and malfunctioning (basically not working at all) the whole day and now it's been doing this for the past 3 hours:
It won't respond to any key combination, not even to the 8-seconds power button or the 3-fingers hard reset method (toughest thing that can be done to the phone, even Ovi and Maps get lost when that's done)...

I'd pull the battery on it. 2 screws on either side on the bottom, slide off the end cap, open the little latch and it should just slide on out. -
It finally turned off itself (ran out of battery obviously) and has been working fine the whole day. Thanks anyway! I don't want to unscrew anything because there will be warranty void for sure, and it's still covered so I won't be opening it. I might get it repaired/changed in Nokia if it acts up again. -

Busy with installing my new laptop. Looks awesome, but it is a big beast -
And now it's my computer acting up ¬¬ Doesn't recognise RAM memory and turns off / restarts when Windows loading screen appears. Fuck -

Sorry, Chris. I was horribly unclear in my original response. Yes, the screen is cut off, not squeezed. The weird thing is, I ripped the bonus features from the exact same disc, with the exact same settings, and they came in as widescreen. I don't get it. I tried to rip it a couple of times, and no matter what I did, it still ripped as 4x3 (standard) instead of widescreen. Anyways, here's the screenshot of my rip from the credits of the feature:

Have you tried setting the picture settings manually? -
Jeremy, does the movie look fine (eg. no squeezing, no cut-off) when played on a standard dvd? I have a few faulty DVDs where the main title looks cut or squeezed but the extras look fine.
