You should count on the "OR", in total I expect 7 or 8 new songs.

PS. Edited the prev post, included Wave of Sorrow.

For some reason I dearly hope that they'll set up a rather "fresh" setlist with a kind of new concept. For example, the one from the Vertig Tour with all the political songs in a row will be kinda lame if you know what I mean. Hence the new album is supposedly "different" with trance and co influences...I find it possible that they'll do a very mixed themes show.

I'd go for smth like this:

01 NEW SONG
02 Vertigo
03 NEW SONG
04 NEW SONG
05 Window In The Skies
06 Two Hearts Beat As One or Seconds or New Year's Day
07 Beautiful Day
08 NEW SONG
09 Bad or One Tree Hill or Kite or October
10 Sunday Bloody Sunday
11 NEW SONG
12 Pride
13 cover song (acoustic) or Wave Of Sorrow (acoustic)
14 Still Haven't Found or First Time or Who's Gonna Ride or Please or Staring At The Sun or Stay (acoustic)
15 MLK / Scarlet
16 Where The Streets Have No Name
17 I Will Follow

18 NEW SONG
19 One
20 With Or Without You

21 NEW SONG
22 Until The End Of The World
23 NEW SONG or "40"

This isn't exactly a setlist, but a list of whats expected to be played in chronological order (somewhat):

I Will Follow
Sunday Bloody Sunday
Pride
Bad or All I Want Is You
Streets
Still Haven't Found
WOWY
Bullet
One
The Fly
Mysterious Ways
Beautiful Day
Elevation
Vertigo
SYCMIOYO
COBL

That's 16 songs BEFORE any new material... expect 4 or 5 new songs in the set as well.

My thoughts (Hi Bono if you're reading this!):
U2 has to realize that although they have to play some hits, they don't have to play all of them. Don't follow U218... play some rarities! Personally, if I was in charge of the set, I would have it like this for basics and main idea:

NEW
Vertigo
Elevation
NEW or rarity
NEW or rarity
Beautiful Day
Still Haven't Found
NEW or rarity
SYCMIOYO
NEW or rarity
Bad or All I Want Is You
COBL
Sunday Bloody Sunday
Pride
Streets
One

Encore:
NEW or rarity
The Fly
NEW or rarity
NEW or rarity
WOWY

There ARE U2 fans in the audience that want rarities... maybe 1 song from early stuff (Boy, War, TUF), 2 songs from Joshua Tree/R&H, 2 songs from Achtung/Zooropa, and 1 song from Pop. Perhaps 3 rarities a night? Mix it up a bit with them too. And don't play Wave of Sorrow... if they do I'm willing to hear anything from October.

Best opener ever indeed... but they're probably not gonna open with an old song. No not probably, it's bound not to happen
