1. ....that u2 played a concert in Santiago, Chile. It became one of the band's best shows and it had the best closing ever. Of course I mean the appearance of the Mothers Of The Disappeared. It still sends me shivers round my back when I watch or he been out of tar it. I can't believe they done this, fantastic.

We'll never forget this moment, do we?

Guys, I've been out of this place for a while, I had a kind of U2-burnout which we discussed a few months back. I might get back into U2 after watching this vidMade me discover new bands, though. How are ya mates?
  2. good evening Rob, your prescence hasn't went un-noticed. How right you are about Santiago. I watched it for the first time a few months back and completely fell in love with the show. Easily the best Popmart show but up there with the best of the best of U2. I might have to watch it again tonight seeing as it's the 10th anniversary of the show. Burnouts happen, luckily I only burn out on a particular era sometimes.

I already where you were! U2-burnouts are fairly common...my cure is to keep listening to U2 And watch that amazing crowd moment from Streets at Slane..

    Glad you are back!
  4. Welcome back Rob

I have this show, I'll give it a watch in honour. You're right about the quality of the show. Up with Leeds/Mexico and Sarajevo for Popmart.

My burnouts are in era's too, not that band. Lucky me

Thanks for the warm welcome mates! I really can't say why I had this kind of burnout. Maybe some kind of winter depression, I don't know. Of course I followed the main news around the band, that 3d-stuff etc.

    El Pueblo Venceraaaaaa
    Wow.
  7. Welcome back Rob. Can't believe it's been ten years since this awesome show...
  8. indeed..it was a beauitful night in Chile...answer me this...because it is killing me!!!

I was on the outside when they pulled the four walls down.

...you took control of me, you put a hold on me, you should of said..damm?

    Can someone tell me

"You took the soul of me, you put a hole in me, you should have stayed, lived your life..."

altered lyrics for his mother, obviously. Interesting how the change only occurred on Popmart
  11. How great was Santiago, how moving was Mothers...

Thanks for reminding and keeping up with my old anniversary-reminder role. It's great

Yeh, it seems like he changed them a lot The first few shows of the tour, he says something in which I have no clue...especially opening night in Vegas...and then sometimes he says lived your life...but sometimes it sounds like he says theres your life...
