1. Band is "Prljavo Kazaliste", from Croatia and the name of the song, translated is "Too bad she's a whore".

Please watch whole video and you'll see it completely SYCMIOYO ripoff.

The band is now almost 30 years old, and they build career on taking ideas from U2 (mostly), Springsteen etc...

"Mojoj Majci" ("To My Mother") is considered as their greatest hit, and it's "With or without you" ripoff.
    You can hear it here:

If you want, you can sing WOWY lyrics to the music : ))
You can even see that vocalist has identical hair cut as Bono had until The Unforgettable Fire era : )))

And here's link to their (most obvious one) ripoff of "Love is Blindness": http://rapidshare.com/files/97024749/Prljavo_Kazaliste_-_Ptico_Malena.mp3.html

I would like to hear your comments on all this : ))

  2. are they a tribute band? Are they "ripping" them off out of flattery or just trying to copy them and credit as "original" material? forgive me for not listening completely before I ask these questions.
  3. I can hear the resemblence. They're probably big U2-fans themselves?! The singer looks like Bono's cousin or something in the Mojoj majci video. Very Edge-like guitarsound around 4'37 as well. I can't understand a word of it (obviously) but they seem just as passioned as U2 and I kinda like that...

    They're trying to copy them : )) They're breaking U2's authority rights : ))

Sometimes it was emotional, but hey, I don't want to listen to something they say it's theirs when it's not.

They were good only in few first years when they were playing punk, but after U2 become widely known, they started to copy them and vocalist was always trying to look like Bono.

These days they're publishing an album every two years, but nobody cares for them anymore, and they play only at meetings of political parties.

  5. haha! the 1989 video, he looks like Live Aid Bono! and the video for the Sometimes rip off, looks like a rip off of the Stuck In A Moment video and obviously the Sometimes video. As a drummer, I can tell that many parts in the song are taken from Sometimes. All that aside, this doesn't even sound like good music to me

And it's not. As I said, in last 10 years nobody cares for them...except people with no taste : ))

  7. It also has "Stuck in a Moment" sound to it, but also reminded me of faster version of "Don't Cry Daddy" by Elvis.
  8. quite smiliar
