Anyone know where you can download any backing tracks free?

I've already found this site (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/amib2005/ and whoever put it up, cracking job they've done) but I want to get hold of stuff like Zoo Station that I haven't been able to find thus far.

Anyone able to point me in the right direction? Would be very grateful

A few months ago, I went on a search for the best backing tracks and I personally felt like that website you already listed had the best stuff...I'll look through my stuff to see if I can find Zoo Station though.

What do you mean, backing tracks WITH guitar (to sing along over them) or backing tracks WITHOUT guitar (to practise guitar over them)?

If you want them with guitar (only voice drown out) check out this fantastic stuff (U2 best instrumental):
Part I: http://lix.in/c56990
Part II: http://lix.in/91d1c2

All the best songs are there. Very recommendable stuff if you want to sing along and have a nice time.

I'm looking for one to play guitar over (and sing I guess if I got moved to do so lol ), I found a live one where someone had stuck bass and rhythm over the ZooTV DVD version with Bono singing but I want to get hold of one that's not live, but just rhythm, bass and anything else that sometimes gets thrown in for good measure if possible

Would be cool if you had it

Aha, no problem, I guess we'll just have to be "ready for what's next" then, eh?

All there's backing tracks cds (with and without guitar) that come with the Play Guitar with U2 books

The version of Zoo Station that I have is the same one that's hosted on that first link that theedge123 posted. Sounds a little odd, and there's no vocals.
