Yes, that's what my sister said when I was listening U2 ( ). My dad was joking around by saying that he was a friend of Bono and that they made a deal that Bono would go to U2 and my dad to U3 (This is not true!!!!!)...
And my sister said: Who the fuck (censored) is Bono?????

So my question is: Do you guys sometimes have the same? That people don't know who Bono is or what even U2 is?

some people still live under very big rocks.....when I was at the R&R Hall of Fame exhibit in 2003, a lady was walking through it going "I've never even heard of them" and half the room politely gasped and turned to her like she had 15 heads

hahah great to hear that such people exist

all my friends now them, but they make fun of my healthy obsession; saying that every number is the same and no good boring songs....
its pisses me of so much but i dont care i know a good piece of music

Most people I know know who Bono and U2 are. Some of my students try to get a rise out of me saying they suck. But what they don't realize is that I don't care what kind of music other people like. More tickets for me!!!

Someone saw my tattoo and actually said "Oh, like U2!" That made me super happy!

Most of my friend know about U2 and Bono...cause I'm nagging about them all the time! xD

But once I talked to a girl that didn't have clue who George Michael or Bruce Springsteen were...

Never had that problem, luckily. U2 is well-known here I only heard: 'Who's Edge?' once

I do. I'm in middle school. The only other person that listens to U2 besides me is my science teacher, and one of the VP's. It sucks when somebody would choose to listen to "When You Were Woung" on my iPod when they could be listening to "The Fly" from the 1992 DC Broadcast.

Most people around me know who he is -- from me
but sometimes I meet people who don't know who Bono is.... until I say "it's that singer who always wears those shades"... then everyone knows

I've never had that problemn, if for no other reason than everyone I know thinks he is a douche. (he does get on my nerves sometimes btw.)

I must say that my sister never watches the news or reads the papers. She lives under a rock ('N' roll)
