a) completely agree about the red lights.

b) Adam said they felt they overplayed it on the last few tours, and that they were letting the JT stuff rest for a while

c)Yahweh was really the only acoustic "staple" of the tour, and they seem to use the b-stage for acoustic numbers, mostly.

Still Havent Found could never be overplayed, ever.

Where's the harm in throwing in at least one cover song?

I just think that, and I've said it MANY TIMES before lol, that when your discography's as vast and varied as U2's, I don't see there being any real necessity to play covers. Instant Karma, What's Going On etc. yeah I quite like that, but they kinda irk me when I think that there's so many other songs that could have been thrown in that were U2 songs. And re. RTSS vs. Miss Sarajevo, in the context of a political campaigning song, MS fitted so much better and hence I preferred it on the last tour

I know. Its just the Vertigo tour just doesn't work so much for me.

reasons why:
Streets (Red Lights)
Why wasn't Still Haven't Found played a lot during the first leg?
B-Stage anyone?

I know, I'm picky...

Yes you are, but no worries lol.

Too right, Ali's the semi-appointed Policeman of these parts, yet he's as irresponsible as the rest of us with his head spinning at the thought of the Iron Lady! Well, the German brand, anywho...

Well, Ali's heartrate was rising like mercury on a hot day

wooow...too many comments about the poor old policeman on one post I said she fulfills "some of the description"...and yes, the policeman is weak when we get to these special subjects, alright?!

OK, to defend my taste, when it gets to women, here is one good politician for you guys, Yulia Tymoshenko, Ukraine's prime minister:

Regarding Vertigo Tour, it is actually one of my favorites. Yes, they murdered Streets and One, but we got The Fly in its best form ever. We got Miss Sarajevo every night. We got two amazing performances of Discothèque. We got Kite. We got One Tree Hill.

Bono's voice varied considerably... leg 1, it was considerably better than Elevation (the very worst ever for Bono's voice), about where it was during PopMart. Leg 2, it suffered a bit. Leg 3 was excellent, and Bono got his full range back (he hit the WIDE AWAKE in Bad better than he ever had in the past, even on TUF Tour). Leg 4 was about the same as Leg 3, and I loved the amazing voice in stadiums. Leg 5 was as good as Zoo TV (although very different), with better range.

That tour made me even love the song that it is named after, not to mention COBL, which is one of their best live songs ever.

Agree 99.9% (I didn't mind One with Bono's speech).

I don't care about the speech. However, the song was butchered because there was no last verse, it lost the majority of the angst that it had in-studio and on the Zoo TV and PopMart Tours (I just dislike Elevation all-around), it was played on the wrong guitar, and, in general, it sounded like a tired warhorse.
