After much plugging and enthusiasm by myself, here we go. I've watched it twice through already. It comes in at just over one hour of brilliance. The footage is 95% from the final night and the tapers vantage point is amazing (right on the front rail) a mere 12 feet from the band. I don't need to mention the performance as you already know it.

It is a digicam which should mean that it's crap but this one is decent. Being in the front row, somehow or taper managed to keep still for the majority of the taping. In the true nature of digicams though, the picture does get a little grainy during darker more enthusiastic parts of the show (notably Streets and The Fly) but overall it is a great great great watch. It creates levels of intimacy that U2:3D just about managed. You can see Bono and Edges facial expressions for most of the time. Brilliance. I love it and hope you do to.

Set :

City Of Blinding Lights (short snippet)
Vertigo (short snippet)
Beautiful Day
Out Of Control
Angel Of Harlem (short snippet)
Bad
Sunday Bloody Sunday
Streets
The Fly
Mysterious Ways
WOWY (short snippet)
The Saint's Are Coming
Window In The Skies
Vertigo (short snippet)
Walk On (short snippet first night shot from the elipse)
One

All of the complete songs (in bold) are from the final night. Walk On and COBL appear to be from the first night and I haven't checked the rest as there maybe 2 cameras on the front rail. Correct if you wish.

70% of the time its excellent yes. Mostly always stable but when it gets dark and jumpt the image can get cloudy. Really download it though

Possibly one of the best 5th leg videos to surface here. Thanks Gerard!

Thank you once again Gerard. Will get downloadin'. One question: if this guy was 4 metres away, how did nobody see him?

security dude stands right in front of him quite a but so god knows. Surprised Bono didn't even notice him. It is a digicam so it may have been recorded on a conventional looking stills camera rather than a camcorder

I'd say if you went in with equipment like those at the US / European shows do for video and audio recordings, then they might do something about it. But like you've said, because they may have thought he was taking photos - so they'd have no problems with it because security probably knows bootlegging is quite a big thing, and are powerless to stop it.

The concerts I've been to and had recording equipment quite visibly showing in the front row (including a quite bulky video camera), the security didn't do a thing about it. In fact, we had the singer kneel down and actually wave to the camera, so she obviously didn't mind (or didn't know). It does particularly surprise me one of the band members didn't notice.

Well, indeed security guards are powerless to tell you a single word about recording or bootlegging or taknig photos or nothing like that. They simply can't (except if both the artist and the promoter allow them to!).
I don't think U2 mind at all for bootlegging (we all know the story about Edge's bootlegs, etc), so why not recording? The strange thing is that, being in the first row (where there are pushes, people waving, shouting, struggling, etc) the camera still so stable throughout the show.THAT is the amazing thing.

Wouldn't it be something to remember, him waving to you on camera? Brilliant.
