My Dad and I had tickets to the cancelled North Carolina show from earlier this year. We were disappointed that the show had been cancelled, but understood why it was done. When we saw the show from last night (Washington DC - we are from Virginia so it was even closer than the NC show) announced, he asked if I wanted to go. Stupidly, I said no because I would be leaving town the day after. I woke up this morning full of regret after seeing that setlist

As much as I love Bruce, I could never get into his first two albums. And I have tried. 4-hour show is beyond impressive, but I am so happy that the shows I attended were not that heavy on the early stuff. But of course, there are people who like that era the most, then it must be a real treat for them. I am just not one of them :-)
The US shows of The River tour has nothing to do with The River but is more a promo with all that old & rare stuff for his upcoming biography.
But I still the setlists are great and almost unreal
