    Thanks!
  2. 1. How long are you a fan of U2? What kind of fan are you?
Since 1991 full-time. I got Desire when it came out as a single before that, but WGRYWH got me to buy Achtung Baby. That was that. I'm an ardent fan, I'll defend their place in music history to anyone but I won't necessarily agree that they're flawless.

    2. Did something change in your preferences to U2 this year? Maybe another favorite band member or another favorite song, tour or album? Tell us!
I really got into Boy again after the remaster. And I've not put down Pop this year either. Tour-wise it's all been about ZooTV for me. I couldn't stand Lemon at the beginning of the year. Something just clicked with the Sydney version and now it's top 5 for me

    3. Did you spend more or less time listening to U2 than last year?
About the same I guess. Maybe some more in the middle of the year - they were all I listened to for a few months in some difficult times

    4. Do you own more bootlegs than last year? Can you point out the one you've listened the most this year, and why?
    Yes.
Sydney '93 - for personal reasons.

    5. Do you have any new U2 stuff like posters, vinyl albums or DVD's? If so, what's new?
Just the remasters and some bootleg DVD's from a very generous fellow fan (;))

    7. Which U2 song did you listen the most this year? Is it still the same as last year?
Lemon, live from Sydney. Nope, as I explained above. It would have been Streets every other year.

    8. Which U2 album did you listen the most this year? Is it still the same as last year?
    Boy (Remastered)

    9. Regarding U2start, what was your U2008 year like? Did you visit us a lot? Did we were active enough this year? Any recommendations for next year?
I joined the crew which was a definite highlight of the year. I've been off a bit more than I like, but there's been a lot going on at home. I still try to catch a look each day. I think the site is just getting better and better and I'm proud to be part of it.

    10. Can you shortly describe your U2008? Anything related to U2 this year, any special things happened? Please finish with a score from 1 to 10 to rate your U2008, where 10 is the highest score.
Finding Lemon was a huge plus, it really helped me in some dark times. I can't possibly explain why. As U2 years go it was just plain average though, so I go with 5 for that plus 2 for Lemon (and Mysterious Ways from the same show). So, 7

    11. U2009 will be the year of No Line On The Horizon and probably a new tour. What do you expect of this year personally and U2-related?
Anticpation is high and I eagerly await the frenzy of new material. Plus the tour. I'll be there.
Personally, I'm looking forward to a wonderful year.

  3. 1. How long are you a fan of U2? What kind of fan are you? (normal one, extreme one, obsessive one etc.)
I'm a fan since 2002 I think, an extreme one but not obsessive. Things have become more normal this year.

    2. Did something change in your preferences to U2 this year? Maybe another favorite band member or another favorite song, tour or album? Tell us!
My favorite album is still Achtung Baby, my favorite band member may have become Adam where it always used to be no one. He's just so great watching DVD's etc. My favorite song will always be Bad I think.

    3. Did you spend more or less time listening to U2 than last year?
Absolutely less, last year I've listened to dozens of live shows, where this year there were many months where I wasn't into U2 at all.

    4. Do you own more bootlegs than last year? Can you point out the one you've listened the most this year, and why?
I did own 0 lossless recordings, no I have 300 of them or so. Lossy recordings, maybe 10 more or so. Already did have nearly everything.

    5. Do you have any new U2 stuff like posters, vinyl albums or DVD's? If so, what's new?
A few new DVD's (20/30 or so), but that's it.

    7. Which U2 song did you listen the most this year? Is it still the same as last year? If you don't know, guess it or fill in your favorite song this year.
Last year it was I Will Follow (because it occured in a lot of bootlegs), this year it might be Vertigo.

    8. Which U2 album did you listen the most this year? Is it still the same as last year? If you don't know, guess it or fill in your favorite album this year.
Still Achtung Baby I think, Joshua Tree also raised.

    9. Regarding U2start, what was your U2008 year like? Did you visit us a lot? Did we were active enough this year? Any recommendations for next year?
I visit U2start nearly every day, U2start 3.0 was a busy time for me, but it paid off. I still love this place.

    10. Can you shortly describe your U2008? Anything related to U2 this year, any special things happened? Please finish with a score from 1 to 10 to rate your U2008, where 10 is the highest score.
I started out being totally into U2, and ended not so into U2 anymore. Hope it will come back soon with the new album. My U2008 score will be a 8, mainly because of U2start and the new lossless stuff.

    11. U2009 will be the year of No Line On The Horizon and probably a new tour. What do you expect of this year personally and U2-related?
I expect a great album, better than the last two at least, and a great tour. I hope I can attend 5 shows or more in Europe. I will start saving money next month
  4. 1. How long are you a fan of U2? What kind of fan are you? (normal one, extreme one, obsessive one etc.)
In 1998/1999 (I was 11) I actually found out my musical taste. After listening to trash music like trance and house, I finally discovered rock. And it immediately felt right. My brother bought ATYCLB which got me hooked. Slane did anything that was left. I'm not obsessive although I doubt that sometimes...

    2. Did something change in your preferences to U2 this year? Maybe another favorite band member or another favorite song, tour or album? Tell us!
Not really, still hooked with Lovetown and TUF as any other tour (although I prefer Lovetown). But since the reincarnation of Red Rocks and the remasters, I discovered the greatness of their early days. So Boy, October and War found their way to my ears.

    3. Did you spend more or less time listening to U2 than last year?
No, not really. I listen to them every day, although there are more artists besides U2.

    4. Do you own more bootlegs than last year? Can you point out the one you've listened the most this year, and why?
I added some early stuff and I listened a lot to Werchter from 1983. It's not even a complete recording, but oh so great!

    5. Do you have any new U2 stuff like posters, vinyl albums or DVD's? If so, what's new?
Bought the new DVD's/remasters. Oh, and U2 by U2! Not into vinyls ans posters.

    7. Which U2 song did you listen the most this year? Is it still the same as last year? If you don't know, guess it or fill in your favorite song this year.
Two Hearts Beat As One gets beaten by 11 O'Clock Tick Tock.

    8. Which U2 album did you listen the most this year? Is it still the same as last year? If you don't know, guess it or fill in your favorite album this year.
War found its way to me, same with Boy.

    9. Regarding U2start, what was your U2008 year like? Did you visit us a lot? Did we were active enough this year? Any recommendations for next year?
I visit this place every single day if I can. It's great, especially with the new U2Start summer-release.

    10. Can you shortly describe your U2008? Anything related to U2 this year, any special things happened? Please finish with a score from 1 to 10 to rate your U2008, where 10 is the highest score.
Phew...ehm, it was a good year. There was no tour, no album, so I could focus on any aspect of the band. I discovered Boy, October and War thanks to the remasters and UABRS and added some nice bootlegs to my collection. Red Rocks was the top actually..I played 11 O'Clock at full sound once I got it. Almost had tears in my eyes, what an awesome song. Together with the growing anticipation, I rate this year with a 7.5.

    11. U2009 will be the year of No Line On The Horizon and probably a new tour. What do you expect of this year personally and U2-related?
Looking forward to it...it will be the year (I hope) that I will attend my first U2-gig. I have some special feeling about this new album and this year will rock, I guess. And I will attend Coldplay in September..2009 will be U2's year.

  5. 1. How long are you a fan of U2? What kind of fan are you? (normal one, extreme one, obsessive one etc.)
Twenty-one years. I got into them when the Joshua Tree came out. I am a bit of an obsessive. My birthday was Thursday, and the highlight of it was easily the No Line on the Horizon announcement.

    2. Did something change in your preferences to U2 this year? Maybe another favorite band member or another favorite song, tour or album? Tell us!
I really discovered Exit this year. I always liked it, but now it's a favorite.

    3. Did you spend more or less time listening to U2 than last year?
Less. I took a big U2 break in the spring and summer, because I figured that I would be listening to the new album in the fall, and that would bring on my normal new album U2 binge. I went on that binge in Oct. anyway.

    4. Do you own more bootlegs than last year? Can you point out the one you've listened the most this year, and why?
More. I did most of my downloading in 07, but I filled in my collection with a few classics that were missing: Denver 83 & 87. Tempe 87 and Stockholm 92.

    5. Do you have any new U2 stuff like posters, vinyl albums or DVD's? If so, what's new?
Now that I think of it 08 may be the first year in a while that I bought nothing U2 related. I still have not gotten around to the remasters. Maybe someday, but There are so many albums that I don't have that I would like to own before I go spend $30 pop to upgrade ones I do own.

    7. Which U2 song did you listen the most this year? Is it still the same as last year? If you don't know, guess it or fill in your favorite song this year.
I mentioned Exit before, but one that stands out is Love Rescue Me. After listening to the Point Depot shows, I really fell in love with it. Especially the one on 12-30 with "Dream it all up again."

    8. Which U2 album did you listen the most this year? Is it still the same as last year? If you don't know, guess it or fill in your favorite album this year.
I found myself digging deeper into the Unforgettable Fire. I think it is a masterpiece, just behind Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby. Last year was probably JT after the reissue.

    9. Regarding U2start, what was your U2008 year like? Did you visit us a lot? Did we were active enough this year? Any recommendations for next year?
I love U2Start. I usually visit everyday. I like that the You Too polls get updated more often now. I really enjoy that feature, even though what I seem to chose ends up in third place.

    10. Can you shortly describe your U2008? Anything related to U2 this year, any special things happened? Please finish with a score from 1 to 10 to rate your U2008, where 10 is the highest score. My U2008 was good because of U2Start, but was defined by delays in the album in tour so I will call it down the middle and say 5.

    11. U2009 will be the year of No Line On The Horizon and probably a new tour. What do you expect of this year personally and U2-related?
I am hopeful for the album. I think it could be great, but the delays make me wonder. I usually get the third leg of the tour, so that may not be until 2010, but who knows. I will be there whenever they roll through, and I am taking my 4 year old with me. He is a big fan, and I expect that to be the highlight of my U2 fandom.

Thanks to everyone on the site, and to Remy in particular for giving us a home here. Happy Holidays and a great U2009!
  6. 1. How long are you a fan of U2? What kind of fan are you? (normal one, extreme one, obsessive one etc.)

I think I'm between extreme and obsessive right now... since the end of last year. Therefore I just liked the music but it wasn't very serious, so to say.

    2. Did something change in your preferences to U2 this year? Maybe another favorite band member or another favorite song, tour or album? Tell us!

I have no favorite band member, they're all special and very good at their job. I think I explored more of Zoo TV and Popmart, but I can't really choose between them. I think The Fly became my favourite song.

    3. Did you spend more or less time listening to U2 than last year?

    More. By miles.

    4. Do you own more bootlegs than last year? Can you point out the one you've listened the most this year, and why?

Much more. I especially listen to ZOO TV bootlegs like the famous RDS show and the Sarajevo gig.

    5. Do you have any new U2 stuff like posters, vinyl albums or DVD's? If so, what's new?

Loads of new stuff this year! I now own all the DVD's, but I'm really fond of the Zoo TV and Popmart 2-disc sets. I also bought the Joshua Tree Remaster (deluxe) and the deluxe amazon.com set of Boy, October and War. Additionally, I bought the Passengers record and some books like At The End Of The World, The Best of Propaganda and POP music book.

    7. Which U2 song did you listen the most this year? Is it still the same as last year? If you don't know, guess it or fill in your favorite song this year.

Must be The Fly or Streets.

    8. Which U2 album did you listen the most this year? Is it still the same as last year? If you don't know, guess it or fill in your favorite album this year.

Tough one (*glances at Itunes* ). I think my favourite album of this year is Zooropa, and actually I listened the most to Joshua Tree, Achtung Baby, Under A Blood Red Sky (combined with Red Rocks DVD/Audio), Boy, October, War, All That You Can't Leave Behind, The Unforgettable Fire, Zooropa, Pop and How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb. Oh, wait, that's all of them.

    9. Regarding U2start, what was your U2008 year like? Did you visit us a lot? Did we were active enough this year? Any recommendations for next year?

I disovered the site this year and I love this place. It's not as huge as Interference but that's just what I like about it: it's compact and not too overwhelming.

    10. Can you shortly describe your U2008? Anything related to U2 this year, any special things happened? Please finish with a score from 1 to 10 to rate your U2008, where 10 is the highest score.

I really discovered U2 this year so it must be a 10.

    11. U2009 will be the year of No Line On The Horizon and probably a new tour. What do you expect of this year personally and U2-related?

Personally, I hope to pass my exams this year, win some money with poker and U2-related I'm very curious of the new album and the new tour. I think it will be rocking.

The best wishes for 2009 y'all!

    No it's not. Where's Pop?

    (I know, I know, I'm a fussy bastard...)
  8. 1. How long are you a fan of U2? What kind of fan are you? (normal one, extreme one, obsessive one etc.)
I started listen to U2 aroung the year 2000 when dad started playing ATYCLB for me. But I really started to listen to the band after the concert in 2005. Now the last year I've really become obsessive, before I was more like "yeah, there's good..." But now I'm...crazy

    2. Did something change in your preferences to U2 this year? Maybe another favorite band member or another favorite song, tour or album? Tell us!
This last year I've really become a big Adam-fan, especiialy since I started playin the bass I have also noticed more and more U2 song. (Before I just listened to the big hits so to say).

    3. Did you spend more or less time listening to U2 than last year?
    More. Much more!

    4. Do you own more bootlegs than last year? Can you point out the one you've listened the most this year, and why?
Last year I didn't know what a bootleg were

    5. Do you have any new U2 stuff like posters, vinyl albums or DVD's? If so, what's new?
Like I said, I became obsessive this year so yes, I have much more U2-stuff. Three more posters, one calendar, more various pictures from the internet and magazines and I started to collect singles

    7. Which U2 song did you listen the most this year? Is it still the same as last year? If you don't know, guess it or fill in your favorite song this year.
Hmm... I noticed Stay this year so I have really listened much to that one. But also SIAMTYCGOF and many songs from the R&H album.

    8. Which U2 album did you listen the most this year? Is it still the same as last year? If you don't know, guess it or fill in your favorite album this year.
R&H and JT. I've never really liked those albums before, I was more into AB and ATYCLB but that's because I hadn't listen much enough to the other two. But now I've really started to like them and R&H have become one of my favorite albums

    9. Regarding U2start, what was your U2008 year like? Did you visit us a lot? Did we were active enough this year? Any recommendations for next year?
I became a member under this year, so I haven't been her so long But I really think you are doing a great job with this site!

    10. Can you shortly describe your U2008? Anything related to U2 this year, any special things happened? Please finish with a score from 1 to 10 to rate your U2008, where 10 is the highest score.
Well, I discovered u2start this year I saw U23D, I discovered R&H and I listened to Pop for the forst time. I started to collect U2-singles and I got some nice U2-stuff that my dad bought in the eightees. So this have really been a big U2-year for me! And U2 have helped me a lot through some difficult times with their songs. So thus U2008 will get a 9!

    11. U2009 will be the year of No Line On The Horizon and probably a new tour. What do you expect of this year personally and U2-related?
I'm really lookig forward to see U2 live again! Almost more then I look forward to the new album But I think it will be a great year!

I'm sorry if there's any misspelling or wrong grammar in the text but I'm very tired right now
  9. 1. How long are you a fan of U2? What kind of fan are you? (normal one, extreme one, obsessive one etc.)

already knew of u2 for many years (thanks to my dad), but it took me a while to become an actual fan. was really fond of the atyclb album, but after some time the interest died down again and only when vertigo came out, I began waiting for the new album. so, one can say that I'm a real fan since 2004 wouldn't say I'm obsessive, but an extreme fan, yes. you don't wait 13 hours in the rain for the boys otherwise, lol.

    2. Did something change in your preferences to U2 this year? Maybe another favorite band member or another favorite song, tour or album? Tell us!

my fav member will always stay the same (edge), don't think that'll ever change definitely discovered a few songs though, which I hadn't liked that much before. yahweh, for example, a sort of homecoming, I threw a brick through a window, tomorrow, desert of our love...

    3. Did you spend more or less time listening to U2 than last year?

I'd say more. with u23d coming out and all those re-releases, I think I listened more to them than last year.

    4. Do you own more bootlegs than last year? Can you point out the one you've listened the most this year, and why?

I only discovered u2start this year and haven't been much into bootlegs before, so I'm still quite a newbie concerning those think I listened the most to bootlegs from the elevation tour. new york, 10/25 in particular.

    5. Do you have any new U2 stuff like posters, vinyl albums or DVD's? If so, what's new?

I got a few vinyl albums off ebay this year (jt singles, tuf album) and some pop singles (staring at the sun etc). oh and the boy/october/war remasters of course (still need uabrs though). can't think of more atm...

    7. Which U2 song did you listen the most this year? Is it still the same as last year? If you don't know, guess it or fill in your favorite song this year.

concerning itunes I listened the most to seconds quite like the song, but I wouldn't say it's my favourite for this year. I'd go for a sort of homecoming mysterious ways and tomorrow.

    8. Which U2 album did you listen the most this year? Is it still the same as last year? If you don't know, guess it or fill in your favorite album this year.

all that you can't leave behind had a bit of a revival for me. last year was more of a htdaab and pop phase.

    9. Regarding U2start, what was your U2008 year like? Did you visit us a lot? Did we were active enough this year? Any recommendations for next year?

well, it's my first year here, so I can't really compare but I like visiting the forum, even though I might not post as actively as others, I read most of the stuff. there've been some serious queries here, but u2start is still better by miles than other forums I've used to post at (best example u2tour, ugh). for next year I hope there to be a new layout/header and all those new bootlegs from the upcoming tour, of course

    10. Can you shortly describe your U2008? Anything related to U2 this year, any special things happened? Please finish with a score from 1 to 10 to rate your U2008, where 10 is the highest score.

this year, concerning u2, has been a double 10 I went to ireland again this summer (with macstripey) and had the incredible luck to meet both bono and edge (only saw adam & larry in their cars). guess nothing can top that, no rerelease, not even a concert. meeting those guys was one of the best moments in my life, one I'll never forget and hold close to my heart.
plus, there was u23d, a real highlight as well - so yeah, a double 10

    11. U2009 will be the year of No Line On The Horizon and probably a new tour. What do you expect of this year personally and U2-related?

personally, 2009 will be somewhat stressful, I think. I finished school this year and have currently no place to go. uni didn't take me and I haven't found an education so far (had had an internship recently though). so, it's time to search for a job
u2-related, I want 2009 to be full of excitement and good music. want to see at least one concert of theirs again (if not two) and be surprised by what they're coming up with this time
  10. 1. How long are you a fan of U2? What kind of fan are you? (normal one, extreme one, obsessive one etc.)

I've been a fan of U2 since September 2004 when I heard ATYCLB for the first time. Back then I had no idea there was much more.
What kind of fan am I? Brainwashed

    2. Did something change in your preferences to U2 this year? Maybe another favorite band member or another favorite song, tour or album? Tell us!

ATYCLB used to be my favourite album but as I listened to U2 more and more JT and AB became the best for me.
Bono has always been my idol.

    3. Did you spend more or less time listening to U2 than last year?

    Surely more.

    4. Do you own more bootlegs than last year? Can you point out the one you've listened the most this year, and why?

So far (that's over one year already) I've downloaded only 15 bootlegs so I can't say much about this....

    5. Do you have any new U2 stuff like posters, vinyl albums or DVD's? If so, what's new?

Chicago DVD is arriving tomorrow! But I have to admit I'm a terrible fan, I have none of the remasters

    7. Which U2 song did you listen the most this year? Is it still the same as last year? If you don't know, guess it or fill in your favorite song this year.

I listen to Streets at least 3 times a week. Nothing new with this one.

    8. Which U2 album did you listen the most this year? Is it still the same as last year? If you don't know, guess it or fill in your favorite album this year.

I think it was Achtung Baby.

    9. Regarding U2start, what was your U2008 year like? Did you visit us a lot? Did we were active enough this year? Any recommendations for next year?

When I'm at home I visit U2start a couple of times a day. Looking at this year, I know I made some troubles and it was pretty hard to bear with me, but if you don't like me, all I can say is 'bugger off'

    10. Can you shortly describe your U2008? Anything related to U2 this year, any special things happened? Please finish with a score from 1 to 10 to rate your U2008, where 10 is the highest score.

I would rate this year 8/10. 8 thanks to the great news at the end of the year and -2 for the delays

    11. U2009 will be the year of No Line On The Horizon and probably a new tour. What do you expect of this year personally and U2-related?

I expect to irritate everybody around me. I'm gonna play the album over and over and over and over again and sing out loud. And not to forget, I told my father that if we don't go to see U2 on the next tour, I won't ever talk to him. Nice son am I.
  11. 1. How long are you a fan of U2? What kind of fan are you? (normal one, extreme one, obsessive one etc.)

Well in 2007 around august I got the U218 Singles and around this time last year I brought all their albums. I'm probably an obsessive fans, but stop before it gets to downloading bootlegs

    2. Did something change in your preferences to U2 this year? Maybe another favorite band member or another favorite song, tour or album? Tell us!

Favorite albums, songs, tours change all the time, there is never really a song i go from loving to hating, but many I go from hating to loving. The Zooropa albums a good example with songs such as Stay, Lemon and Zooropa being my favourites. Pop is also a favorite of mine, along with PopMart and the Elevation tour.

    3. Did you spend more or less time listening to U2 than last year?

Probably more, but that's because I have their albums

    4. Do you own more bootlegs than last year? Can you point out the one you've listened the most this year, and why?

I go from having loads to deleting them all, then having another obsessive phase and downloading them again, so at the moment i have less (none). In terms of my favorite, i'll go with may be PopMart Mexico, or one of the Elevation ones (New York or South Bends), I've never been that keen on Zoo TV.

    5. Do you have any new U2 stuff like posters, vinyl albums or DVD's? If so, what's new?

Mexico City, Slane, Milan, Sydney, I'm slowly working my way to haveing them all, up next is Rattle and Hum.

    7. Which U2 song did you listen the most this year? Is it still the same as last year? If you don't know, guess it or fill in your favorite song this year.

Running to Stand Still or Walk On, though One is my most played on iTunes. Since November Stay is also become quite popular

    8. Which U2 album did you listen the most this year? Is it still the same as last year? If you don't know, guess it or fill in your favorite album this year.

Joshua Tree, ALYCLB, Pop or Zooropa. The Joshua Trees and Pop are my favourites, but as your life changes (went to uni in September), different albums mean different things to you and become more relavant. Recently i've been listening to Zooropa alot, just feels kinda relevant.

    9. Regarding U2start, what was your U2008 year like? Did you visit us a lot? Did we were active enough this year? Any recommendations for next year?

my post count went up by 1100, nothing compared to some people (Nick, Mark, Steve, Harry to name a few ), but its still the highest i've had on a website forum, beating Muse and The Leicester Tigers forum, maybe i should stop offending Munster fans

    10. Can you shortly describe your U2008? Anything related to U2 this year, any special things happened? Please finish with a score from 1 to 10 to rate your U2008, where 10 is the highest score.

Generally listen to power full music such as U2's changes the way you look at things, its not just about making music that sounds good, its about portraying messages, views and emotions. Generally, when you say to people, "I like U2" , they say "yeah their ok, but Bono's such a dick, thinks his god". The truth is people, especially young people would rather listen to a Rock star than politicians, Bono knows that and is one of few who are actually using that to make a difference;if people feel offending or annoyed by that, they can go to back to their pathetic little protect bubble of world and ignore the inequalities, unfairness, and injustice of the really world; as long as they don't moan at people who are trying to change it for the better (:( Rant Over ). anyway, this year I join my uni's amnesty international group, partly due to the influence of U2, partly due the the fact to studying human geography.

    8/10

    11. U2009 will be the year of No Line On The Horizon and probably a new tour. What do you expect of this year personally and U2-related?

I'm looking forward to the new tour, i'm more exited about this than I was when muse toured, the first real gigs i went to (with my parent , i intend to abandon them for these gigs ). I'm not sure where though, Wembley?, Manchester?, Amsterdam Schipol easier to get to than London, maybe somewhere continental. I'm not sure about the album, i'll need to hear the lead single before i'm convinced by all the hype.
  12. 1. How long are you a fan of U2? What kind of fan are you? (normal one, extreme one, obsessive one etc.)

I've been a fan since I was ten or so listening to U2 on the radio with my mom; she's been to plenty of their concerts since War. I remember always humming WOWY and WTSHNN, etc.

I became a true fan and started buying the albums after I heard Beautiful Day. My first album was ATYCLB for my birthday. Now, I'd say I'm an extreme fan. Not obsessive, because there are plenty of more people out there who know a lot more than I do.

    2. Did something change in your preferences to U2 this year? Maybe another favorite band member or another favorite song, tour or album? Tell us!
I've started to appreciate Pop and Zooropa. I really didn't listen to them before this year. My favorite band member is definitely Bono. I really like the work he does as a celebrity and as a person who is willing to use his status to better the world in fighting poverty.

    3. Did you spend more or less time listening to U2 than last year?
There were spurts where all I listened to was U2, especially after I saw U23D. Currently, I've put my iPod on shuffle and won't hand select a song until I completly listen to all of the songs on my iPod, because I find myself only listening to U2.

    4. Do you own more bootlegs than last year? Can you point out the one you've listened the most this year, and why?
I only own about three or four, just because I can't download them while at college. I would go to the local library to download them at their high speed wireless connection. Now that I got high speed at my parent's house, I may download more and add to my collection.

    5. Do you have any new U2 stuff like posters, vinyl albums or DVD's? If so, what's new?

I have 2 U2 posters: one U2 Vertigo and the other U2 War...(not really sure what era its from). A couple original vinyl albums that my uncle may pass down to me. DVDs: I have U2 Live in Chicago, Rattle and Hum, and Zoo TV.

    7. Which U2 song did you listen the most this year? Is it still the same as last year? If you don't know, guess it or fill in your favorite song this year.

I can't particularly think of one song. Maybe Sarajevo or Stay.

    8. Which U2 album did you listen the most this year? Is it still the same as last year? If you don't know, guess it or fill in your favorite album this year.

Most likely AB, because it is my favorite album.

    9. Regarding U2start, what was your U2008 year like? Did you visit us a lot? Did we were active enough this year? Any recommendations for next year?

I have been a member for over a year, but after signing up, I kind of forgot the site, because I couldn't download the bootlegs. I became an occasional member right before U23D because I wanted to find find more news about its release. After U23D, I've become a regular and have been addicted to the site.

    10. Can you shortly describe your U2008? Anything related to U2 this year, any special things happened? Please finish with a score from 1 to 10 to rate your U2008, where 10 is the highest score.

I'd say my U2 year was about a 7. I became an avid member of this site and was able to see U23D two times. Thanks to this site, and all of you U2starters, I've learned alot more about the band and their songs. I have come to appreciate different aspects about them that I would have never considered: album artwork, minor details, better versions of songs on tours, etc.

    11. U2009 will be the year of No Line On The Horizon and probably a new tour. What do you expect of this year personally and U2-related?

I hope to attend as many concerts as I can. I was able to go to 2 on the Vertigo tour...both times pretty much nose-bleed, back row seats. I remember in waiting in line in freezing tempatures for tickets for about 2 hours...when I finally got to buy them, all the general admission were sold out. After I bought my backrow seats, 2 more concert dates opened up in Chicago, and the person behind me was able to buy general admission.

For this tour, I hope to sit inside the inner circle. Also, I'm studying abroad next semester in Rome. I'm crossing my fingers that they tour in Europe while I'm there. If so, I'm sure to follow the band and attend as many gigs as my wallet lets me. Hopefully when I'm back at home, I'll be able to see them in Chicago, front and center, too .

Thanks, everyone. Glad to be a member here.
