No way off topic, and great you had your doubt answered Rocket Man is a widely known song that we all have been listening to for years, but now most of us associate it to a very sad moment: when a U2 show finishes
Very true. I won't listen to it the same way ever again on the radio.
Yeah just like Space Oddity is now associated with the excitement before the show begins. When I listen to it I can almost hear the rumble of the crowd and see the stage and a stadium full of people and all those things... it's great

I virtually can't listen to Space Oddity without having very strong goosebumps!

Great thanks (just checked back after a while).
I loved Hooting and Howling but didn't know who it was! And Fever Ray is great too.
Wasn't it towards the end just 1-2 songs before Space Oddity?
Some new tracks played in South America anyway. Not necessarily before the support act but there was a lot of Arcade Fire {Suburbs - most of the album actually], Radiohead [King of Limbs] & REM's latest album were played. Largely the same as the 2010 setlist but one or two tracks I ashamedly can't identify
If you skip forward to 14.08 you'll hear a song in the background that's new to the DJ set list and played pre & post opening act. No idea what it is though.
The video's by a really nice bloke from San Fran who follows U2 across the globe; really, really knows his stuff. Is he a member online here?
Finally this is a really great tune from the DJ - thanks to him /her for introducing me to this.
As you said, a lot of stuff from Arcade Fire's newest album and REM. Between Muse and U2, I cleary remember to listen to Ready To Start (Arcade Fire), Satisfaction (Stones) and Machu Picchu (Strokes).
Bit off again, but... I loved that at Zagreb 1 they played Exodus after the show as the crowd was leaving the stadium
