shame for Give up the ghost, ruining them hehe
kidding .. great encores indeed!
^Karma Police would fit VERY nicely in its place.
Nice set, could use a coupe more "energy songs" - maybe Bodysnatchers or National Anthem? (Or Paranoid Android, of course). The middle of the list has a bit of a "lull."
It was a very fun show. The band was strong, the sound quality was incredibly crisp & the crowd was very much into it. I suppose the setlist could have thrown a fan favorite like "Karma Police" or "Paranoid Android," but oh well. It was my first time seeing them so I tried not to nitpick.
The encores were worth the price of admission alone. I certainly didn't expect "How to Disappear Completely" and "You and Whose Army." And "Lucky" and "There There" was just beautiful & the crowd ate those ones alive. Listening to those songs on bootlegs or watching them on Youtube simply does not do it justice (then again, that applies to all songs, really). And "Identikit" might be a new favorite.
And surprisingly, "Everything in Its Right Place" made a cool farewell. With the electronics still playing, each band member gave a wave & walked off individually .
I'd definitely see them again in a heartbeat. I just wish they'd come to Portland. They wouldn't have any trouble selling out the Rose Garden...
Now... I'm waiting for Bruce Springsteen to come to my region :-)

Planet Telex making it's tour debut!!
Ah ha (not the band)! I knew "Planet Telex" couldn't be counted out for this tour. Unlike most of the (classic) songs on The Bends, Planet Telex doesn't follow the typical 90's song model (slow-fast-slow) and remains timeless.
Just noticed "I Might Be Wrong" also made the set!!!!! I love that song!
Karma Police is back - that's always a good thing.
Still waiting on....Exit Music and Let Down ...Optimistic and Morning Bell
Interesting how Amazing Sounds returned after almost a month gone? Weird Fishes and Idioteque are missing! is that a first?
I think you are right. Weird Fishes had been played at every show until then.
Idioteque closed the show - not its usual position, I suppose.

Paranoid Android
Planet Telex stays again, and Weird Fishes is back.
Glad to see Paranoid Android back. I don't think it needs to be played every night (same with Idioteque, however) but I am glad that they still realize it's an important song that shouldn't be dropped completely.
On a related note, I was listening to Fake Plastic Trees yesterday. I have stated in the past that it is a bit of a "90s" song but it is still beautiful nonetheless. I recall the first time I heard it back in 1995 and was instantly taken by it. I hope they decide to play it on this tour - at least a few times. I also hope they haven't forgotten about Street Spirit.
