1. I never thought to do this before and its been awhile since ive talked about gear so lets list what kind of gear we use and play with!

    Guitars:
    1989 American Strat
2010 Thinline Tele built by a good friend
    60's or 70's Yamaha Acoustic

    Amplifiers:
    2001 Fender Blues Jr
unkown year Fender Frontman Bass amp (solid state but sounds ok sometimes...I let my brother use it)

    Pedals:
    Boss TU-2 Chromatic Tuner
    Ernie Ball Volume Pedal
    Dunlop Cry Baby-Wah
Fulltone OCD overdrive (my favorite on the board)
    Behringer Dynamics Compressor Dc-9
Boss DD5 Digital Delay with Boss Fs5u tap tempo
    Electro-Harmonix Memory Toy

Great tube tone and awesome gear post yours!
  2. Cool thread.

    Guitars:
-2008 American Standard Strat (custom shop 69 pickups, brass saddles, black pickguard and maple fingerboard, looks just like Edge's blackie from the 80's)
    -Simple Acoustic Guitar
-Epiphone Les Paul Custom Antique Ivory (with Seymour Duncan 59's and schaller gold ring pickup surrounds, looks like Edge's cream les paul)

    Amps:
-Fender Blues Jr. (don't know what year)
    -2008 Vox AC30CC2X

Effects (I've gone through a LOT of differnet pedals, but right now
    -Line 6 M13
-Mission Engineering Expression pedal (for use with M13)

I love the m13 right now, great tones from it. Multi-FX are great for band settings, as well as just saving tones.

  3. I've bought, sold and traded a lot of gear over the past couple of years, but here's my current setup.

    Guitars:

    Fender Mustang '65 Re-Issue
    '08 Fender Custom Shop Strat
    '78 Fender Strat
Gibson Les Paul Jr. (Billie Joe Armstong Singnature Series)
    Epiphone Acoustic

    Amps:

    Fender Deluxe VM 40W
    Fender G-DEC Jr.
Fender '65 Twin Reverb (a friend of mine gave it to me as a backup, but it's in crappy shape.)

    Effects:
Boss DS-1 Distortion (every guitar player should have one...)
    Marshall Shredmaster Distortion
    Boss BF-3 Flanger
    Dunlop Cry Baby-Wah
    Boss DD5 Digital Delay
    Behringer UT100 Tremelo
    Digitech RP255 Processor

My amp also has a footswitch with built-in Overdrive, Reverb, Delay and Chorus.

EDIT: I also forgot my tele.... lol it's a 2008 Telecaster Custom.
  4. Cool idea, surprised we've never done this before lol. I've got the most basic of basic set-ups, but it does me fine

    Guitars:

    Epiphone '57 Explorer (natural finish)
Epiphone Les Paul Custom (black pickguard/alpine white finish)
Ridgewood Strat. copy (white pickguard, sunburst finish)
    Ridgewood electro-acoustic (navy blue)

    Amp:

    Marshall MG-30 combo

    Pedal:

Zoom GX1N multi-FX with expression pedal

Short list, but like I say, it does me fine. One day with a bit of money I'll expand, but for now, I'm doing with this. I fancy getting a beastly Korg board or such like, but money is as money does.

Nice collection. What kind of custom shop strat is it? A reissue I'm guessing?

  7. a lot of this is used, keep that in mind. So it's not really that impressive... I've been able to find some amazing deals at the local shops here.

  8. Yeah, it's a 2008 re-issue of a 60's model. Not exactly sure what year though. My grandparents got it for me last year for my 16th birthday and they weren't able to get much info on it. (Which, to be completely honest... worries me. lol)
  9. Gibson Les Paul BFG + Duncan P-Rails at the bridge (my main guitar)
Gibson Les Paul Studio Worn Brown
Fender Stratocaster Highway One / Mexi Deluxe Hybrid
    Epiphone Flying V Korina
    Chinese Gretsch copy
    Chinese Jumbo Acoustic
    Korean Rickenbacker bass copy

Zoom G7.1ut + Behringer RV600 Reverb Machine (for live use)
    Zoom G1XN (for home use)
H&K Tubeman 2 (for recording guitar)
    Sansamp Classic (for recording bass)

2xEL84 Class A Power Amp (for live use)
1xEL84 Class A Power Amp (for home use)

1x12 Celestion Vintage 30 cabinet (one for live use, one for home use)

    I don't own a bass amp.

Right now I have an additional Epiphone Gothic Explorer that I'll either sell or equip with EMGs. I'm also not sure what to do with my brown LP; right now I prefer my Epi Vee. Maybe I'll swap the Burstbuckers to the Epi and sell the LP... well, maybe not. I'm considering upgrades all the time, and I constantly suffer from GAS - like most of us do.

  10. Wahey! A fellow purveyor of Zoom kit, yay lol

    I feel I've missed a trick here?
  11. GAS - Gear Acquisition Syndrome: The irresistible urge to buy more guitar related stuff, driven by the irrational hope it will upgrade the player's abilities to Jimi Ray Satriani- level.

Ahaha, I like it, cheers for the explanation. I just couldn't work out what the A might be!
