    Was drinking 100 proof Southern Comfort on New Years... 50% alcohol. Burned to absolute hell but was a different taste.

    Does anybody know what the 100 Proof means?
    I was wandering the same thing, 40% abv Vodka us 80 Proof so it must just be twice as much ...
