As the multicams for Turin, Hannover and Vienna get going, I don't want to fall behind .
It was a nightmare to edit coz I had 16 cams in total. Synching the audio took me 90 minutes I think. I also got a real BIG shock after I edited a scene where Bono showed the finger. I then switched to another cam and suddenly Bono showed the finger "again". At first I thought I synched that cam wrong and saw 3 hours spent in vain. Luckily I then figured Bono showed the finder twice ...
This will not be the final edit coz I am still awaiting an angle recorded in the front of stage area, right in front of Bono.
Return Of The Stingray Guitar:
I'm not satisfied with the editing during the first two minutes. Tell me what you think.

Looks promising mate!!!
Indeed, weird B-man giving the finger 2 times... one to each side... haha!!!
Fisrt two minutes seemed too shaky to me, but the rest was pretty good... you ahve some great angles there...
All the best of luck for the editing!!!
Well you cannot avoid some shakiness...it's amatuer cams after all. Plus I don't have good number of angles for Soace Oddity. I might re-edit and keep some angles just longer.
First of all: congrats! must have been a difficult job to put all those images together!
The switch between the first and second part is bit euhm, (how do i say?) .. confusing?
But wow... some shots during 'the return of the stingray guitar' are totally awesome! Lots of variation in the shots + sometimes you feel you're standing in the crowd.
I think there are really great angles in there...
But i think the intro (space) need to be chaged, don't know
but after that i get the felling it really begins
(mayby the shkaing cameras before or so)
This will also be a really great multicam for shure!
Looks ffĂng Sweet!!! Cant wait for the final cut! Really appreciate all your work! I'm confused by the 2 fingers though Can anybody explain why Bono is doing this?? He looks like a little boy doing something he may not do from his mother, lol
Looking great, just as the mysterious ways preview

Tho it's hard...I hardly go cams for Space Oddity.
is that a general problem? that everyone is looking out for the band then and only starts filming from Stingray on? if so, I'll make sure to film the whole Space Oddity on Zurich II then - if that's of any help.

Hey, this would be a BIG help infact. I'm not that epxerienced with multicams and was lucky to have many cams for Space Oddity in Gelsenkirchen, but yeah....if you are able to, try to record from the beginning of Space Oddity. Maybe try to do a slow, steady circle round the stadium for a first impression of the stadium. Hope you know what I mean. Will you also be in that bar near the stadium after Zurich 1 ?
@Coen:
Bono shows the "first" finger to a fan. It was meant funny...remember he's doing a kind of alter-ego thing during Stingray. The second finger is for the photographers of the press. I think he did that (giving the finger) in every concert at that point...you know...
okay, will do. slow, hopefully steady, doing the shot in the round (I get what you mean )
I'll only arrive on Sunday afternoon, no Zurich I for me. Just night II. going to miss the party.
