Wow 2 years. I usually get bored after a year of ANY album but i still love this one.
Infact i think this album and 'boy' are the only U2 albums i can play in its entirety without skipping a track or 2.
what songs do u skip on JT and AB?
for me

I don't skip any track on Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby. They're both masterpieces.

What I like:
The most cohesive U2 album this decade I can listen right through skipping only five songs. Not bad.
The use of ambience this time around. Bomb had a bit of it on One Step Closer but this goes further.
Eno's likely recommendation of using a Harold Budd sample on Cedars Of Lebanon.
The solos, bass and drums are the best this decade and used in so many different ways.
What I don't like:
Moment Of Surrender is far too short as is Fez - Being Born. Magnificent flat-out sucks.
The ultra-weak falsetto on Crazy Tonight. You can't reach, and you can't grab it.

What do you mean not bad? That's almost half the album you're skipping.

Not bad compared to the five on Bomb and eight on All That You Can't Leave Behind.
I like Bomb a lot because it's a good four-piece rock and roll record that sounds live. ATYLCB doesn't and is more of a contemporary effort. No Line, I'm not sure what sort of genre it falls under. It's not primarily rock, it's not completely ambient or abstract, it's not pop...so whatever it is, it's still good for a modern U2 album (the amount of listenable songs for me, at least).
