1. Thought it might be a good idea to make a topic where people could share festival experiences, give tips and discuss a festival you might be going to. I know a few of you are going to some festivals this summer And we all just got a taste of Glastonbury too

I got my ticket for Oxegen today, camping for four days the week after next. Any tips and stuff would be helpful since it's my first time going
Here's what I have to look forward to

PS: Move to Your Blue Room if it's more suitable
  2. I caught parts and bits of the dCode Festival yesterday at my university. I saw parts of Sum 41 (crap) and My Chemical Romance (decent) from a nearby hill. My girlfriend is quite a MCR fan so I thought it'd be nice to take her to see them. Sound was great although we were pretty far (more than 80 mts) from the action.

Yes, that's what I was doing when I missed my bus back home, and missed the start of U2's Glasto set ¬¬...

More than decent headliners for a just-born universitary festival

  3. I am very disappointed in you mister Santos.

The line up of the Oxegen looks amazing. Foo's, Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, Brandon Flowers, Beady Eye and Slash are all great.

Yeah I'm thrilled with the lineup, luckily tickets go on sale after the lineup is announced I wasn't even thinking of going before it was announced
  5. Anybody watching Beyonce at Glasto? She's pretty damn good, luckily seeing her too She has a mini kind of bit that comes out from the stage too, triangle shaped.
  6. yeah, she nailed it, fair dos to her, it was a great set.
  7. anyone else see Zane Lowe being a dick about Beyonce just now? cringeworthy and totally uncalled for. love how they got him off the set by the time the interview rolled round.
  8. I didnt watch Beyonce, not my kind of thing. I watched BBC3 for Queens of he Stone Age but BBC made a big mess of their performance by doing 30 mins of Streets only 30 mins of QotSA and 45 minutes of talking!! I wait to see if they would show more, but instead they went on and on and on very disappointed that I only saw 4 songs
  9. Might be going to Lollapalooza in Chicago this year, I'm stuck between CP and Muse, and Foo Fighters and Deadmau5, as well as a few others. Looks promising!

    August 5th-7th

  10. Steve, this year's Lollapalooza line-up is a real KILLER... If I had the minimal chance to go, I would. Muse, Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys, Two Door Cinema Club, Foo Fighters, Explosions In The Sky and more and more and more legendary bands... man, don't hesitate!!
