1. One of the greatest debuts in the history of rock music.
  2. Boy is 35 years old today

    1980-10-20 - 2015-10-20
  3. an incredibly strong debut. timeless, powerful and daring. I love this record.

  4. 100% agree, especially with it being timeless.

Will the band play some extra Boy songs next show to celebrate? Kind of like the AB opening in 2011. Would be amazing if they opened with 5-6 songs off the album.

    1. The Ocean
    2. 11 O Clock
    3 Out Of Control
    4 The Electric Co
    5 I Will Follow
  6. Love the first album. Classic stuff.

  7. They really should have played (or be playing - the tour is still on!) more songs from their first few albums on this tour. I think they played more Boy songs on the Vertigo tour!
  8. Boy is great. The Ocean took the longest to grow on me. Pretty much nothing on it is distasteful. Electric Co, An Cat Dubh, Into the Heart, OOC, A Day Without Me, Shadows and Tall Trees....all songs I come back to. And the rest are also great. Next to Achtung Baby, Boy has some of the best B Sides.
  9. I know it goes against everything U2 is, but ever since Bono was quoted as saying he'd love to re-record this album, I've always thought it would be an unreal end to their career if they were to re-record and release the album and call it Man.
