Why Bono hates Chris Martin I don't think Bono hates anybody, but I'd have to say that he sometimes tries a bit too hard. Not necessarily tries to be like Bono (although that's also the case) but tries too hard to be a big leading frontman. Let your band do some of the work as well. Chris Martin comes across to me as wanting to be the huge star, where as Bono's whole mantra is the band, the band, the band, the band. If Chris Martin wants to be Bono, and Coldplay to be the next U2, he's not doing a very good job of it.
