Rattle and Hum is a true album but it is one hell of a mess.

  5. It's not a true album, it's a mix of studio and live recordings.

  6. It's still in their studio album list. Still counts.

  7. For example - Yellow Submarine is listed as a real/true studio album on most Beatles websites, but in fact it's a mix of Beatles tracks (and 2 of them were released on previous albums) and George Martin's film score. So just because they say it's a studio album, that doesn't mean it is.

That's maybe because The Beatles and U2 are two different bands, maybe that's their opinion. But if you go on Wikipedia, it does list Rattle & Hum as a studio album. I know anyone can edit a Wikipedia but still, that's the truth. It can be listed as a studio album.

  12. Huh. Interesting to see my list (the one from a year ago, just before yours, Fabian.)

My top four is still the same but ATYCLB went in as my fifth favourite U2 album in our year-end list. Aside from that double-leapfrog, I don't think anything else has changed for me.
