1. I was never biiig fan of JT. AB is different - maybe too overplayed for me, it could rank a little higher... but for now it's like this
  2. Here's mine...

Songs of Innocence and of Experience
    Pop
    Achtung Baby
[Songs of Experience would probably go here on its own]
How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb

    The Joshua Tree
    No Line On the Horizon
    Boy
    War
    Zooropa

    The Unforgettable Fire
    Rattle and Hum

All That You Can't Leave Behind
    October
  3. Soe and the freshness definitely taking u2 into this century. This album finally taking credit AWAY from JT and AB
  4. Achtung Baby

    October
    NLOTH
  6. Indeed a good moment to note down this current feeling: let's see how things are ranked in another 3 months

SOE has shaken the foundations of my all time ranking of the albums

Making this list "from the heart" and then going back three months ago,
I suddenly ranked AB over TUF...the latter perhaps always infused with
    too much teenage sentiment...

    1. JT (1)
    2. AB (3)
    3. TUF (2)
    4. SOE (-)
    5. War (4)
    6. ATYCLB (6)
    7. NLOTH (linear) (7)
    8. Boy (8)
    9. SOI (6)
    10. HTDAAB (10)
    11. R&H (9)
    12. October (11)
    13. Zooropa (12)
    14. Pop (13)

PS: please note that I still enjoy HTDAAB and R&H very, very much...
And October. Zooropa and Pop all hold fantastic songs, but, well, as albums I don't think they're that good...

If I count Passengers It'd probably go in between SoI and Boy.

Quoting myself from when Songs of Innocence came out. In the time since I've bonded more with some albums and burnt myself out of others. Here's where I feel I am today:

    1. The Joshua Tree
    2. Achtung Baby
    3. The Unforgettable Fire
    4. Songs of Innocence
    5. Pop
    6. Zooropa
    7/8. Songs of Experience
7/8. How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb
    9. Boy
    10. All That You Can't Leave Behind
    11. No Line On The Horizon
    12. October
    13. War
    14. Rattle And Hum

Can't make up my mind on if I rank SOE or HTDAAB higher. I'll know in about a year.
